Cutter max jump range

I would like to make a exploration cutter
But sins not yet having one leaves me whit this question.
So for the owners of a cutter...

What is the max/best jump range you have ?

We have a couple of Cutters out in the black at the moment on the Dead End's Circumnavigtion Expedition, which is designed to test long-legged ships by hitting distant POIs all over the galactic rim.

A couple of the Cutters have around 37Ly range, and the longest range Cutter hits 39.05Ly. You could probably hit 40 if you totally stripped the ship and had good rolls.

But whit srv and sfl ?
It's the most beautiful ship in the game.
I do have a the courrier which i find powerful looking but just like the clipper its to small to go away for months...
Need room for my PS4/PC/Cloth/food/ and whit cutter i can bring my sfl npc wife whit me.
No way she will allow me to go out that long on my own.

So ranking up whit empire it is. 07

For my combat cutter, she is VERY heavy with hull reinforcements, military armor, best shields I can get and full compliment if guns and shield boosters, I am getting an honest 30ly jump range. And this is with over 100 passenger cabins and 256 cargo as well as SRV and Fighter Bay.

An exploracutter can easily hit high 30's, 40 as CMDR Hal 9K opined.

The best i can do in my similarly loaded Corvette is 22ly

Yep, absolutely. Although to be fair, we have a Courier and a few Clippers out here too with full exploration kit. SRVs and all.

As Centrum has showed, the Cutter is so big that it's not as sensitive to mass as most ships - so yeah, the Cutter guys have SLFs and SRVs on board, probably with repair/refuel limpet controllers and other long-duration exploration essentials on board :)

Like HAL-9000 said, 36-37ly should be achieveable, I just tinkered around with coriolis and got an boost-able exploration Cutter with the necessities like shields, SRV and a 5D fighter hangar to 37.5ly with good rolls.

I am in the bubble running passenger missions out of Allen Orbital. To be honest I don't think I've ever left the bubble.

Cutter as explorer is a fun idea. I planned to do it someday. Currently my cutter has jump range of 27.5ly in hauler mode for powerplay. I never got god rolls, so just averagely decent G5 FSD. I'd heard some have been able to streamline and get the cutter to 35-40 ly close to AspX.

I have a orca whit 45 LY
A dolphin whit 42 LY
Even my python can make 39 LY.
But the cutter is oeh la la...
So one like to travel in style [big grin]

I meant the expedition Cutter pilots! Of course most Cutters don'tneed that gear :p

We're currently about 20,000Ly 'West' of the bubble, on the rim. The last POI I hit was a black hole next to a planetary nebula.

I think we started out with 120 CMDRs but a few months in we're down to probably around 40-50. Staying out of the bubble for so long is not for everyone!

I agree with what you say about the Imp ships, they are my favourites too. I have two Cutters, one for expolation with 35ly jump range, and one for hauling. I am engineering a courier as we speak to become a stealth fighter

Too late to get on the official roster I think but certainly not too late to tag along. Come say hi in the Dead End's thread and see what you think!

Although if I were you, I'd do the Enigma Expedition first. It starts this Friday and is heading to Colonia in aid of a great cause. You could then head further west from Colonia and meet up with the Dead End's :)

Explorationcutter is totally okay. I went to Sag A with mine and had around 38 LY. People who joined Explorationmulticrew always were pleasantly surprised.

No no... note like that... just imagine you go on a monthly + trip... in real life i mean.
Would you still go whit clipper ore go to the shop and come back whit a cutter ?
More room / well... more everything actually.
And jump range is about the seem so that can't be a argument.
Am ranking up as i text now...
