CV1 texture pop in from the extreme edge

I use SMAA - I don't have this issue but had it in an Eagle or Viper. Haven't seen this on Planets lately and I use all on MAX ULTRA.

I still seem to get it after 2.3..

Its bloody annoying as you seem to always be drawn to looking towards it...

This is what I get.

Without doubt frustum / Field of View culling related. Exact same thing happened with nVidia 3D vision. Rendering a scene in 3D requires additional width of one side of the scene, opposite side for each eye (or vice versa); this zone is usually culled to save performance. Because stereoscopic draws further into the width it sometimes cuts into the culled zone leaving you with the polygons.

I would say the VR team have maybe set the culling zone a bit too severly. But only by a smidge. I would be astonished if the performance hit resulting from the amount of FoV increase required to sort this would be detectable by humans...

Not seen it happen since 2.3 either. Is your FOV set to default?

Quoting myself here. I do still get it, but now mostly when I'm down on a planet and from the left side (as the poster above me). When in space, passing planets, I do not see it anymore.
