CZ in multiplayer are a mess

Conflict Zones are completely bugged when more than 2 players are in them. This was my experience with Elite today:
  • Progress bars either freezing or completely disappearing
  • Unable to win a battle
  • Massive rubber banding of NPC ships, just teleporting all over the place
  • SLF pilot locked in a destroyed SLF and not taking any orders
  • Ships not spawning in a CZ at all after jumping in.
  • Faction choice dialog not appearing for some Commanders.
2,5 hours of the above. We were able to win 1 battle out of 5 attempted, mainly because of frozen or non-existant progress bars. Honestly... FDEV please fix your game. Delay the carriers, delay the new era, whatever. Just fix the game :(

I'll log the bugs on the tracker tomorrow, if they're not there already. I have no strength to do that tonight. Way too upset with Elite right now :mad:

I submitted a report on the issue tracker yesterday about CZs only spawning Spec Ops and today the issue has been marked as a duplicate of one from 6 months ago - a report of a completely empty CZ, which isn't exactly the same issue but still - six months ago!

What is the actual point of reporting issues if they're just going to stagnate for six months!

Why has a CG been inserted into a known bugged area of the game???
 
Haven't been to the CG, but CZ have been acting up (more than usual) with multiple CMDR present for a while. There has always been some issues when NPCs have swapped hosts (which seems to happen based on who they are targeting), but it's been much more extreme lately.

Additionally, there is still a very long standing bug (that I first noticed in early 2015, if not before) where capital ships can become bugged when CMDRs enter or exit the instance. Things like turret or heat relays becoming invulnerable, or persisting after being destroyed.

I really do question who the heck was put in charge of setting up this CG if so many issues were already known.
 
There are issues with many aspects of the game...they can't just put the whole thing on hold.

Who said to put the whole thing on hold? The CG should not have been CZ related when CZs issues are so well known. Why not have bounty hunting like the old CGs? At least farming hotspots could cope with multiple players in one instance.

Lol. Other people have been crying that there are no combat CG (they seem to forget immediately afterwards that they spend the week complaining about all the bugs). Another case of fdev giving people what they ask for.

Ah, the empty CZ's were another issue that I've listed in the OP (added now). Also added:

  • Faction choice dialog not appearing for some Commanders.
For the record, this wasn't the CG CZ - this was elsewhere in the bubble.

This also in SOLO. If you start scrolling through the COMM panel before taking a side, the choice panel will require a very long idle time to be shown again.
Just make this easy... When you select a target and start making damage to it the system should consider it as a side choice.

Or both anyway... The scope is to hunt down all Scythe of Panem ships. Make all of them WANTED in first place (beucase that's what terrorists are) and provide CG points in terms of ships destroyed instead of credits earned through bounty vouchers or combat bonds. Then we can destroy them at the Nav Beacon, USS, iterdicting them in SC, Res sites (if any) and finally CZ's.
 
I've had all of the above in Open and PG:
Choose Faction dialog but no ships in CZ;
ships there, fighting, but no Choose Faction dialog;
one time I was alone with allied Spec Ops, and only the enemy special ops wing turned up. After they were destroyed, no new ships spawned.
Last evening I had 2 successful CZs and dropped in and out of a dozen or more.

Just the simple fact that I can tell another player is in an instance when I'm flying up to Jaques because the Belugas are bouncing all over the place isnt great. I don't know how this would be playable in a CZ.

It should at least be a second option to kickstart things as I quite like the details given in the comm panel. When it works that is.

I've been in the CG CZ a number of times so far without any issues (except the above, once, leaving and re-entering the CZ fixed it) but that was all in Solo. Given the lag fest Elite has been since September I dare not to try this in Open for now.
