Greetings, fellow pilots.


We are standing on the precipice of a new era, and as actors of change, we have the responsibility to mould it to our liking and to be aware of the consequences of our actions.

The time has come to acknowledge the true nature of Salvation and to judge the figure behind it for its countless crimes.


Following months of anti-propaganda efforts, this appeal aims to spark a broader initiative among the galactic community and especially the independent pilots.

'Salvation', or Caleb Wycherley and his corporate cult under the name Azimuth were demystified and exposed recently, based on findings of the last few months and evidence unearthed by anonymous informants and Prof. Alba Tesreau. The man in question operates above law and morality, and is willing to walk over corpses to reach his goals, be it tens, thousands, or hundreds of thousands, if need be, as we can see in project Seraph, the Alexandria and the Cornsar incidents and potential ~150 years of murder, kidnapping and terror by the hand of the Black Flight, Azimuths henchmen for wetwork and the suppression of information.


The superpowers, bloated with bureaucracy and infighting, are unable to deal with an external threat like Azimuth and the unforeseeable repercussions of Wycherleys personal crusade.
So far, they take the revelations of the last weeks with ignorant silence, powerless, having navigated themselves into a dead end, with dangerously extensive shares of their military personnel and assets pledged to an obsessive demagogue who openly calls for genocide.


Nonetheless it is us, who allowed Wycherley, this decrepit mummy of a warmongering fool, to rise and take hold of humanities destiny, and it is us, who can dethrone the madman and bring damnation over the self-called salvation.


So I appeal to you, commander, to reach out and listen to your inner voice to choose good over evil, and to choose order over the chaos that is already rooting in our midst and will soon engulf the whole world.

For those of you who decide to oppose Salvation, also known as the Witch, or have done so long ago: Know that you are not alone. Azimuth can spread lies, cover up crimes and bait supporters with empty promises and refurbished toys, but it cannot escape itself, and the horror it represents.
Because this decision is not about picking a side between Humanity and the Thargoids.
It is about picking good over evil and accepting the truth that the end does not justify the means - If humanity can not prevail without becoming evil incarnate, then maybe it should not prevail.

For those of you who are undecided, or fail to see the extent of Salvations transgressions:
As of now, the figure that supposedly wants to lead us to salvation, is responsible for much more death on the human side than fatalities brought upon the Thargoids by its glorified Guardian bee-smoker!
Go look for yourself. Count the crashed interceptors - Compare to the number of lives lost in the Alexandria incident, the Cornsar ruse, and to the countless victims of illegal Azimuth experimentation. What do you see?


I implore all of you to take a stand and be the messengers of damnation.
As before, I will continue to provide everyone willing to listen with the necessary information and evidence to disturb Wycherleys operations or sabotage his initiatives. Nonetheless, it is you who must decide, and in the end you have all the capability you need to find ways of leaving the galaxy a better place than you found it.


Thus, let the 'Witch Hunt' begin!

Commanders who are ready to bring Salvation to justice and fight for humanity are invited to use the prefix [WH-] (Witch hunt) for their ship ID, to send out a message to the bubble and let the families of Azimuths victims know that there is still a force in the galaxy ready to avenge their loved ones.


What can I do?
  • Inform yourself by visiting the sites connected to the events, paying attention to GalNet or reading the material provided below - also consider following this post, my commander profiles and other commanders who are ready to share their findings
  • Inform fellow commanders by presenting to them the facts and the chronology of Salvations transgressions
  • Don't support Salvation/Azimuth/Taurus Mining Ventures in their community goals and secret initiatives. Think about alternatives, use the services of the fleet carrier Hermes Trismegistos [VZG-4HH] which will show up wherever Salvation becomes active and offers better payout for goods he demands
  • Support Alba Tesreau, Aiden Tanner and Ram Tah in their community goals and secret initiatives. I - and I assume many others - will keep the community updated and share potential leads or private messages from the remnants of Aegis

Although i am sympathetic to this goal. you cant hunt what isnt there. Certainly we can prepare the community with social engineering, however we are at the mercy of the narrative team. My feeling is that things are most definitely coming to a head. I just hope that thargoid sympathisers aren't ignored and forced to choose the best of a bad bunch.

I initially supported Salvation primarily because they were uncovering information and opposing Aegis. Now it is clear that that information was only sought because it was lost to Azimuth themselves, and that they are making the same mistakes as Aegis on a larger scale and a hell of a lot faster too.

So yeah, I agree. Take every opportunity there is to oppose them, but stay wary of Aegis. And if there isn't an opportunity, create one.

No question that the propoganda spread by Aegis might just be that then? They aren't feeling the least bit bitter that they are no longer in favour?
I'll choose to support the chance of seeing the bubble burn, but thanks for the offer.

Better idea - to the last blood, we're protect the Salvation, no matter of his past. This is only past and Aegis should not spread misinformations about Salvation. Bah, another Aegis discrimination campaign, to protect own face.

Thank you for putting all the available information in one post. Players can draw their conclusions from it.

I have been anti-Salvation from the start, and against xeno-hostilities. Hopefully one day this madness will end.

The Alexandria was sabotaged, its crew partly slaughtered, partly taken prisoner, partly left to starve on the order of Wycherley not even a whole year ago. What about this screams 'past' into your face? Even if we assume that crime can be outdated (what a wild concept btw), Salvations transgressions are very recent, not 'past' as you called it.

I'm not comfortable with relying on the "narrative" for justification. First, the narrative has a reliability problem. Every story is told incompletely and from a biased perspective. Most of the Anti-Salvation narrative assumes Aegis is essentially an positive force, but Aegis has accomplished essentially nothing for years. On a massive budget. Millions have died on Aegis' "watch."

There is a prima facie case Wycherley ordered the death of the crew of the Alexandria as part of a plan to secure Guardian artefacts to further his Anti-Xeno weapon. If you believe Thargoids present humanity with an existential threat, and that Aegis is unwilling to address this threat, then attacking Aegis assets in such a way as to delegitimize Aegis while also furthering your own research goals - well that's a two-fer.

As with most things in the Elite universe, its not so much about right and wrong as it is about bad and worse. Salvation is probably bad. Thargoids are definitely worse. Aegis is at best merely incompetent, at worst actively working to undermine humanities fight against a hostile xenophobic race. And Salvation gave us new toys. Did I mention we're still waiting on Modified Large Guardian Plasma Chargers?

And yet they manage to operate numerous megaships across the bubble... Whereas Salvation's funding source is...? a mining Corp? Not passing judgement here, just noting speculation is necessarily the dominant element.
