Dangerous as it gets

FDev should let us hire npc escorts, or better yet let us assign our fighter pilots to escort us in ships we own.

This is such an easy win for FDev. It would be so easy for them to give us. It would only help against npc pirates, but it would be really helpful.

Thank you for all of your pieces of advise I will get into it as soon as possible. These attacks never happened before. I was mining and selling all day long without any atrocity. I'm not sure if it has something to do with my rank up as a tycoon. I could earn money this way peacefully so far and i didn't expect such a hostile turn. It is pretty a catch 22 because if you want mining you have to leave your martial weapons and you need only mining tools, but with a fighter ship you cannot mine at all. If I had 10 hardpoints it would be solved. It is about maximised shield and thruster as i understand.

Thank you guys.

The game is called Elite Dangerous... Not Elite Mining Simulator. It's really not that hard defete the NPCs in a variety of ways. I was running my T-9 without hard points, never lost it to NPCs. You need to make better choices, sacrifice jump range and/or cargo bays until you figure out how to deal with pirates.

Or you could mine with another ship... The T-10 works well, as well as a Cutter, Anaconda, Corvette, Python... I don't know why you're so fixated on the T-9.

I lost my T9 to an NPC only once. I learned my lessons from that interaction and have never failed to escape, since.

Failure in this game is mostly inconsequential...except in early game. So I'm a big proponent of getting yourself into dangerous situations, its the only way to really improve.

Random NPCs are based primarily on your combat rank but if your trade or exploration rank is higher than your combat rank the NPCs rank will be increased.
