On a positive note, I like this slow build-up in story. I look forward to every update. It going to be interesting for sure!

I don't think the bulk of people are saying that at all. They're saying the game needs something else to do and once you reach a certain level, it obviously lacks depth.

What's the big crime in saying that? I love the game and want it to succeed, but by-and-large I agree with the many criticisms along these lines.

Criticism does not mean you hate the game or you shouldn't play it. It's actually in many cases an indicator of the level of passion people have for ED and how badly they want to get more out of the very limited gameplay paradigm.

I can only laugh at the moment.... There's a sort of a cold war. Make me laugh, its only in text and has zero effect on the game.

Picking Federation has no bearing on the game what-so-ever, as fed players can still rank with Imperials and get the best mods from imperial engineers....

for the players u have a point cause even the military ranks gained through missions from a corparation not the military LOL

They have said that the navy system is just a placeholder. Presumably an open war between the Empire and Federation would come together with a new one.

i must do some sort of experiment and monitor how long does it take on this forum from the time someone make a "positive(ish)" thread or comment and the moment someone start to throw salt, negativeness, pessimism etc.. at it.

"solid gameplay" he says, pushing a button during 12 hours so the next loading screen happens is solid gameplay... ok... now I understand where the game is going to go.

My surprise comes from the ingenuity of players to solve puzzles. We’re making things in the game now that are way harder than we would have done a while back, just to set a challenge to people.

What now, we're going to need to close our eyes to play? because, you know, there aren't any tools to play...

Pay no heed to the salty haters; they are hanging around, so secretly they are still closet-afficionados. ..or they are just trolls, who knows
Personally I don't have enough time in the day to do all I want to do in this - according to the salt - shallow game!

I'm actually pretty stoked by this. If it turns out to be another "heightmap" type of thing as one poster mentioned I'll be disappointed of course, but in the meantime I'm going to let my imagination run with the possibilities.

Things could get quite interesting, that's why i keep saying lets wait 2.4 and 3.0 to make better conclusions where elite is heading.

When the Thargoid are implemented in a non cutscene way, folks in their god mode Cutters will steamroller over them or cry foul if they are destroyed.

On a positive note, flying through a gas giants atmosphere and landing at a base like Bespin, potentially could be awesome.

It was posted on the PS4 forum a while ago, the problem for PS4 owners is he didn't actually really talk about anything to do with the PS4 that wasn't already talked about by others.
