I'm going to let this guy answer it because he put it better than I ever could. But it's true, real, and touching.
He could do all that in online Solo play tbh

Just exactly what is your Elite Combat Rating...? (in ED well all of them would be nice to know but..)
If you don't mind.
Great post and well written.
Please Mr B, read this one over and over tonight and sleep on it. Offline means a lot to many of us and this post sums it up very well.
Hello David!
For all of the Machinima creators that enjoy filming in game, do you think a separate tool similar to what you use to make in house trailers could be implemented to allow more cinematic shots or angles? I know there was discussion about the possibility of a camera drone.
Also curious about the expansion of content for launch - will we see more than just unidentified signal source encounters as we explore deep space? I enjoy the sights but tend to be drawn back to the core systems due to the similarity in content.
Thanks for all the hard work and please consider another us event possibly on the East Coast![]()
Hi David,
I'm not an original Elite fan, but watching ZeeWolf and other Youtubers play the game drew me in.I'm very appreciative of the game mechanics so far, love the feel and how the game plays. I feel you have done a fantastic job realizing how space "feels" and works, and the universe as of Beta 3 is really engaging. I'm enjoying the sandbox.
Do you feel that, by launch, the Unidentified Signal sources will be much more robust and story-driven than they have been in the beta to date, or will that be future development?
We have no intention of taking the servers down, but I understand what you are getting at. We plan to archive the game from time to time (ie matching client and servers and game world state), and would release such an archive if the servers were to come down. That would also address the issue of how you preserve an online game for the future, from the whole 'retro' perspective.
