Well I recently started Ed (last Thursday) and I need ....want more credits. Heard about mining but I just bought the DBX. My follow cmdrs can this work out??

IMO, the DBX is the perfect core miner. Small, nimble, great view. This is mine.
One trip to fillup cargo (and refinery) takes me about an hour and was worth ~60 MCr. (before the price adjustment) in VOs or LTDs.

If you don't have quite the money (and Engineer access) to set her up like this, tell us what you have (and whether you want to do core or laser mining), and someone will set you up.
On the other hand, if you just want money, the Road to Riches still works, doesn't require any special ships or equipment and should get you the money to set up that DBX within a couple of hours.

It’s straight from the shipyard I haven’t bought any mods for it yet. I’ll check out roads to riches thank you. Much appreciated
For the same price as a basic Diamondback, you can buy a T6 fully optimised for mining, which will be a lot better than a DBX because it can carry much more cargo. A T6 will get you approximately 74 million per trip, and each trip will take about an hour. Here's a vid that explains everything about how to do it, except that instead of Painite, you mine low temperature diamonds in Borann planet 2A. After the T6, get a T7, and after a few trips you have all the money you'll ever need in the game. Mine all rocks with more than 12% LTDs. For your first trips, fill up your hold completely with limpets and dump some if you need more space to crefine LTds. Start at 15:55

Type 6 over dbx for mining all day imo, and the dbx is one of my favorite ships. Also, core mining atm is less profitable than missions if you have allied status. Low temp diamonds requires less equipment giving more room for cargo and limpets. However, once you have enough id upgrade to a bigger ship capable of 200+cargo and more limpet controllers to maximize your time spent to credits earned ratio. Fly dangerous cmdr o7
