Dealing With AGE

Gotcha. Both demos are affected here.

Any Grade Emissions. AGE.

Look at the wailing going on about High Grade Emissions (HGE). Supposedly, you take the high value stuff, and trade down at the material broker.

In reality, you take whatever you can get. You *will* need the low-end stuff, for som wacky engineer requirement you have forgotten.

So, you drop into any Threat 0 materials source, and haunt Nav Beacons, and Low Res sites.

You. Are. Going. To. Need. The. Stuff.

Oh, did I mention the mining, and trading for materials was designed by Space Loaches (who are very long-lived), trapped for ages as victims in ens novels? :)

They're getting even, now, for all that trauma suffered...

I scoop it all. Skipping g1-g3 means you're goign to have to run around to material brokers and part with your Grade 5's which means more grade 5 hunting.

Not really.
G1 mods only take 1 roll.
You can almost fill up your entire G1 capacity with 3 G5 mats.
That's just 1 "hit" in real terms.

Correct, and you will never know what you are missing.

Limpet drones should be a material by now, with the number we have used... :)

But if I have only 5 Pharm Isolators, and seeing how those things are still a colossal beat down to farm, I don't want to give up 1 just for Grade 1 or 2 mats. That 1 is vital to one of the 5 or more rolls I need to complete a Grade 5 module.

Between picking up everything I find combined with a little trading up and trading down, it isn't going to take long to fill up everything. Play how you want on this. There's no wrong answer.

Since 3.0 landed, Ive had a limpet controller on my ship...I hate limpets...scooping up everything even the junk...sorry what was the question again?

Then you are simply not being optimal.
There is no way that seeking the 81 G1 mats is as quick as finding a single PI.
It's absurd.
It's literally "working for pennies"

You probably can't even pick up 81 G1 mats in the time it takes to find 1 G5.
It's also an "opportunity cost".
Any time spent doing those G1 tasks is time wasted by not seeking the G5s, esp since they are not in the same places.

My hold is full of mats, btw.
And I've engineered nearly all of my over 20 ships.

Just trying to help people not waste time.

;)

It's work for x, or work for 81x.
You still need the G5s in the end, and those take more rolls to boot.

There might not be "wrong" way but there are certainly "faster" ways.
