Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing for ED

Yep. NVIDIA needs to learn the rendering techniques of the game to be able to use DLSS/DLAA. Because the renderer of Odyssey is still in a sub-optimal state, introducing DLSS/DLAA is not properly possible at this time.

Doesn't it make more sense to wait to see what the improved AA being dlivered "this year" gives?

Suggesting throwing those who don't have Nvidia GPUs under a bus...

In the time since the Reddit post you linked was posted we got AMD FSR. That's done a lot to help performance and appearance. Wouldn't hold my breath for DLSS since it would take a lot of work on FDev's side to implement.

It improves performance a lot so would be nice for players with Nvidia cards.
but only for those with Nvidia RTX cards. that is still quite alot of gamers with NVidia cards that do not have an RTX card.. And they have been pretty expensive for a long time for the majority of potential customers. slowing down adoption. And it is still only available on NVidia RTX cards.

Then it also requires changes to the rendering pipeline, and as evidenced by other issues, especially with how AA is implemented, there are things that are not quite right in the rendering pipeline. This also affects AMD FSR negatively, so what makes you believe, that Frontier would get a good DLSS implementation? as DLSS is much more complicated to implement than AMD FSR, and needs more changes to the rendering pipeline?

Well, I'm not an expert of AA but I play on a laptop (1920x1080 res) with almost ultra details on Horizons and the AA works pretty much good, everything looks smooth. Also, colours are nicely saturated (yellow is yellow).

When I switch to Odyssey keeping the same settings everything looks like being cut by a electric whisk and colors look like they've been washed at 90°.
