DRX - HOMECOMING

Social get-together to celebrate DRX finally having a base to call 'home' (for now)
1st Oct 3302 9pm UTC - 3nd Oct 3302 10am UTC

MISSION DETAILS:

DRX has a home! Ray Gateway, as many of you will already know, has great facilities and is close to a lot of the things we need outside of the Big Black, ie. High and Haz RES nearby etc.

So to celebrate, and to kick off a new phase for DRX, we're having a get-together next weekend. Everyone's invited. There might even be cake (if it's not a lie).

We'll be winging up, tutoring anyone who wants or needs it, maybe taking in a RES or two, dropping planet-side for SRV-based tomfoolery, and generally shooting the breeze.

It'll be a hoot.

Naturally there are no special requirements for this mission, nor are there completion/success parameters other than having fun.

The Command Team and I will look forward to seeing as many of you as possible over the course of the two days.

Sorry about the invisibility issue.
And You'd be more than welcome. It's about getting us together as a group, but also setting the stage for a much larger group mission - a 90kylie round trip called 'Go West' [yesnod]
The cake is a joke from the game Portal.

If you join our INARA wing you can sign up to missions there, plus it's got loads of good stuff, if you're unfamiliar with INARA, that is. I'm not trying to teach you to suck eggs! :D
We're going basically straight from 'Homecoming' to 'Go West' (which will see us into mid-December), then 'the as-yet-untitled Holiday season get together'. So we're busy until the New Year!
btw where in the US are you?

I'm Commander TheWasel, just signed up on your page. I'm play from Michigan, not sure where you guys are from yet. I've got a mediocre build going on my Asp Explorer and have been just starting to get my feet wet in the exploration category. I went out to the North American and Pelican nebula and am taking a scenic route back to the bubble. I'm trying to save up for that beloved Class A FSD. I've earned the bulk of my money by mining so far, but also some other random missions. I started (of course) in the Sidewinder, moved up to the Cobra, then the Type 6, then the Asp Explorer. I've now got that as well as a Type 6 I use for cargo and/or mining.

Long Range - Deep Exploration / Survey Mission to explore the Western Rim with an intial destination of the Myoangooe nebula (approximately 44,000 ly from the bubble)
Alpha Stage
Saturday 15th Oct 9pm UTC through to Tuesday 25th Oct.
A staggered departure from the Diaguandri system, either winged up or solo. Destination will be Jaques Station in the Eol Prou RS-T d3-94 system. Commanders taking part will gradually gather at Jaques over the course of the month of October, ready for the beginning of Bravo Stage.

Bravo Stage
Wednesday 26th Oct 9pm UTC - Jaques Station through to Fri 11th Nov
Beginning on the 26th October, Commanders will depart for the Myoangooe nebula. The destination route will not be set in stone as the aim of Bravo Stage will be to have as many DRX commanders heading toward the star Myoangooe TJ-R c20-1 as possible, which will be the rendezvous point. Different routes can be plotted and this will be encouraged. Commanders will act as a loose armada of ships, as all will be in the same general region of space, on the same heading and able to offer assistance to each other when needed as well as sharing findings and discoveries.

Just filled out the sign-up form for DRX (only thing it didn't ask for was my pin number :p )
So I guess I'm on board now :)


Also, finally got around to buying a cheap, nasty 3rd part headset so I don't have to keep rebuffing those chat requests ;)

The search for a more permanent home for Deep Recon X continues...


End Date: 30th November 3302. (you must vote by this date)


So DRX set Ray Gateway at Diaguandri. It WAS time for us to set down some roots.


However...
We all know it's a toolshed ;).
We're calling on all bubble-side CMDRs to join the search.


Squadron Leader JT442 has compiled a spreadsheet:

This mission WILL decide where we set our flag down.
SO... check out the candidates, add your own, and cast a vote.
And by cast a vote we mean PM any CT member with your favourite candidate.


As a reminder this is what we're looking for:
-- A station (outposts won't do)
-- Good facilities (preferably Li-Yong-Rui)
-- Mining nearby (not necessarily in-system) - mining means RES, RES means fun, cash grabbing opportunities.
-- No player faction in charge
-- Not in Alliance, Federation, or Empire space
-- Interesting sights near-ish
-- Close to the edge of the bubble


We KNOW we can't get all criteria met, but choose where you feel comes closest.
