COMPLETED CG Defend Shinrarta Dezhra Against Thargoid Invasion

Missiles racks are good enough for damaging titans heat core, I’m using two large on my clipper bomber and gladly do upgrade if I will stay in top50% :)

Has anyone answered this question:

What is going to happen to the CG if the Invasion for ShinDez reaches 100%? The community goal is nowhere near finished in terms of combat bonds. It also says it will run until the CG reaches final target, not the invasion reaching 100%.

Anyway, so what happens if I get all those free items and my storage is already packed full with 200 items?

Nothing bad.
If you are at 199 items and the CG gives you 6 items you will be at 205/200 (so overcapacity) and you will need to either sell some items or mount them in empty slots on your mule ships.
You dont have any mule ships? buy some - Dropship can store 4 medium weapons and one large. T-10 can store 4 large, 3 medium and 2 small weapons and so on.

The missile racks aren't particularly popular, yes, but the multicannons definitely do serve as a good entry point for killing Scouts and Cyclops, as well as assisting with the tougher variants. Or just for support builds if the player is inclined that way/not as good at fighting the big ones... or just for variety. I was not bothered to get the Azimuth multis via the tech broker but will definitely give them a spin when the CG rewards are available.
i am quite interested in the multis myself having never used them..... only slight thing spoiling it is, with my current build i really need a cooling laser and thanks to the weird design decision of only 2 fire buttons it will mean juggling my weapon fire groups, something i am more surely not a fan of.

Assuming Frontier don't intervene today and haven't set up anything special for that case, and everything just plays out as standard:
- the CG will continue running until Thursday morning
- the Thargoids will retreat from Shinrarta Dezhra at 100%
- as that's the only system generating special CG bonds the source of those will dry up, though people will still be able to hand in their backlog as normal
- Frontier will get in on Tuesday morning to a massive pile of complaints.
- some of the normal Invasions around Raijin/Cocijo might get finished off while waiting for Frontier to do something

Yeah, that's probably true, and it's a shame.
I was wondering why they'd want to attack Shinrarta.
That's the one.
And I thought they'd destroy it completely and the Pilot Federation with it.
Destroying the FP would be very fitting for PP2, since the FP wouldn't really fit in.

I wish ShinDez just kept burning until we actually defend it. We'll see if fdev have the cojones to do that :)

Inara is just a guide. It contains inaccuracies and claims that are just plain wrong.
Don't rely on it being indisputable.
In this specific case, the unusual absence of a 75% tier is messing up the display a bit - see the overlap between the top of the 100% tier (which is continuing to increase gradually) and the bottom of the 50% tier (which isn't really moving). I suspect the top of the 100% tier is fine as an approximation and the bottom of the 50% tier is a display error.

Wow, we have even more participants than the trade CG to get the C6 CRCR.
Yes - the last CG that was this popular was the final stage of the Colonia Bridge (Alcor half) - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/colonia-bridge-project-phase-four-week-4-alcor-trade.599890/ - which got 8,599 participants.

There's a good chance this one will overtake that too, though not the earlier third phase - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/colonia-bridge-project-third-phase-alcor-trade.597033/ - with its 14,777 participants

The AX Multi-cannons are pretty good IMHO, I've taken Basilisks down with this build: https://s.orbis.zone/qyJD (multiple trips to JM to repair the ship mind you).

i dont want to go full AX multi - indeed i wont be able to as i will only have the ones for being top 100% in this CG,

thinking about it, i could probably put my beam laser and a couple of AX multis on 1 trigger, and then keep a couple of guardian gaus cannons on my other fire trigger. i expect it will be less demanding on my distributor and make me overheat less as well

tho there is a lot to be said for running hot all the time, it means the acid burns off quickly

(i fly a krait for killing thargoids, tho tend to not go much beyond the basic cyclops as am almost always solo)

The pre-engineered axmc are good compared to weapons that do no damage to interceptors, I guess. IMO they're going to be disappointing to anyone that is getting their first taste of AX combat from this CG.

I'm flying with 2 Gauss, 2 Large Enhanced AX-multi (gimbal), 1 Large beam LR/TV (turret) in the centre. Beam and Gauss are on (1) trigger, the multis are on (2).
Lock target, press and release (1) and forget about the beam. It will happily keep firing and reducing your heat while you then use the other weapons. Simples.

Buy a caustic sink (if you haven't already) and you don't need to worry about caustic damage. Just eject a sink if it fills up.

Mopping up Scouts is easy and you can solo Cyclops and Basilisks much quicker with the Gauss.

They didn't "let" them, they appear to have deliberately caused it.

And yes, we are doing something about it, and have been since Thursday. The invasion is 94% repelled.
