You can hand yourself in at Musashi or Bright Sentinel and they respawn you at the same place...i.e. no trip back from a detention facility.

This is not true, at least for a Horizons player in the current (final phase?) CG.

I just handed myself in at Bright Sentinel for a tiny bounty incurred hitting the turrets on a megaship while defending it. Spawned at The Sentinel, about 100 LY away
