Delivery missions query.

Ok, so I picked up a delivery mission, got blown up, but the mission didn't fail, nor did it say the items were unreplaceable. Just standard survival equipment. So I went back to the original mission giver, but couldn't get the items back, so I simply bought some, since they're cheap anyway. Figured it was my due to replace it for having been blown up in the first place. But now that I'm at the receiving port I can't give them my survival equipment. What gives? Do I have to just abandon the mission myself and lose rep with the faction, or am I missing something?

Well that's horse :poop:, shouldn't matter where they come from, if it's not "unique" cargo I should be allowed to supply my own and still complete.

Nope, absolutely did not. And the icing on this cake is, apparently by abandoning this mission I couldn't complete I now have a huge soddin' fine to pay...... Excelent. 😐

You'll do better next time :) Take another mission & keep at it until you succeed ;)
Yea, I usually have no issue, but with no warning in the mission (usually tells you ships might be sent) after starting, the second I left the station I got "mission update" and told up to 4 ships would be sent after me. And for some reason, while I usually have no issue avoiding it, the last two interdictions I got, no matter how fast I moved I couldn't keep up with the target and to make it worse As soon as I killed one guy and went back into SC the other one was on me within 2 seconds (literally). Not even any chance to rest.

They might have been local pirates rather than mission specific ones. Most of my trade ships have a KWS on them for bonus bounties, most of my mats come from killing ships that come after me for my cargo too :)

Always read the contract :)

It's a dangerous galaxy, they like to say. Not all missions are doable. They make these missions difficult for a reason and pay on success for a reason. The game is trying to complete them but sometimes you're going to get blown up. This isn't 3rd grade soccer where everybody's a winner.

Of course, then they move the CG rewards and make it 3rd grade soccer after all...

Yea, I know where the signs are mate, but it didn't say it was unique.

And local pirates don't come up in a "mission update" they just scan you and try to take your stuff.

This restriction filled an exploit where commanders would accept long range delivery missions, dump the cargo, travel the long distance faster without the cargo weight, and the deliver cargo from a local source.
