Depressing Disingenuous Criticism of ED

Why they 16 century? 17th or 18th sounds more dramatic...

Its not roleplay, just plain old fashioned laziness...dont even realize Im doing it most the time...chill baby chill tis not a problem fer me and I dont mind it at all ^

I get corrected on my grammar now and then...makes me laugh so I did it intentionally to wind them up...sorta turned into a habit and I been doin it so long, I dont even think about it anymore...still funny to know it works now and then though ^

Dont worry bout it...Im not ^

No issues here old bean , just mearly curious is all. I thought maybe even scottish slang as i know a lot of friends who text exactly the slang sounds like reading an oor wullie annual.

No offense intended, and from your post it sounds like none taken. :)

Edit: i dont know why the 16th century, its my goto for 'ye old' english i guess.

I wasn't talking about interdictions, because I generally ignore these as an annoyance. I was talking about Supercruise. And the reasons why it exists as it does... I-War was a great game, but comparisons to E: D are pointless because the game's architecture and underlying goals are completely different.

Remember that at the time the flight model was being discussed in the DDF, the networking code was pretty much already there bar the testing (which came in Alpha 3.0). And it had to be low maintenance and involve servers as little as possible, with as little bandwidth as possible. The constraints were there & were completely non-negotiable from FD's point of view.

I-War had no such constraints, so the comparison doesn't stack up I'm afraid.

Fair point, though perhaps this just shows that they should have decided to make a good single-player game instead of a bad MMO (bad in the sense of trying to make an MMO without being willing to build the proper supporting infrastructure for it). That's a decision that turned out bad in more than one way, it's not just the loading screen problem, but also game balance (unlike an NPC which can be dumbed down, PvP combat tends to use all of the very unbalanced tools available) and cheating (due to P2P network system).

Sure, multiplayer and MMO stuff may be popular, but the question is how far you're willing to go (and how much worse you're willing to make the game) just to add that as a feature.
