why? imo auto dock already grants you a licence to automatically have priority over anything and not get fined which to me is unfair... but making invincible? ...... imo actually manually playing the game should always be the optimal way to play it and giving players.who choose. to hand the ship over to the computer invincibility would be a disaster.

ships firing on clean players.who are docking whether manually our automatically should absolutely get protection from the station.... but not a cloak of.invincibility.

edit. in the original design ships which had not deployed to the protection of the hanger were initially also meant to be damageable.... I think that would have been better as well myself.

I think you should try smuggling in autodoc mode and see where you get fined faster.

i haven't tried it nor would I want to.. but.... autodock is clearly not meant for activities such as smuggling . if your point is you get spotted quicker than manual then that is absolutely how it should be. a getaway driver in a bank robbery would likely not use cruise control or Tesla autodrive either.

IF your point is the station DOESNT spot you and scan you very often whilst using autodock then that is surely a bug and should be ticketed.

I have used it once, but that was only to get the old school vibe of the blue Danube which afaik you can't trigger if manually flying your ship.

In fact, the only thing we get here is protection from gankers, nothing else.
As for manual or automatic play. We are forced to buy hacking devices and automatic, instead of solving a logical problem simply by connecting a terminal ...
