Agreed...especially now with Powerplay making these factions even more central to the core gameplay.

Every time someone posts those old concept art images of possible station designs I think how cool it would be to have such gigantic space structures in densely populated systems (around Earth for example). IMHO FD should assign the second highest priority to designing new space structures we can encounter - right behind the highest priority going to fleshing out NPCs. But then again, the designers who create those space stations are likely not the same people who update game mechanics, so both features could receive the highest priority at the same time :D

Anyway, +1 for showing those pictures again! :)

BTW FD. I fully agree with the way you have prioritized development so far, but expanding the different environments and making the world more varied should come not to far off in the future. 1.5 maybe? Just get the NPC comms stuff done first for 1.4! ;)

No passenger missions yet, but they're still on the list.

Hopefully they're on the list along with escort missions and protections missions. ie: Escort a VIP, or some cargo ships, from X to Y and ensure they make it in one piece. Or fly to a distress signal and protect the civilian/cargo ship there for X minutes before additional (authority) vessels arrive.

Be cool for a Wing scaled versions of these too ;)

Perhaps you could even choose in some instances if you want to escort someone in his own ship - so you potentially have twice the firepower when interdicted - or if you want to take him along in your ship to have more direct control over his fate!

Well escort/protect missions could take all manner of roles. Escorting (from A-->B)/protecting (a broken down) single Hauler... To flying along with a military convoy and trying to protect some specific part(s) of it.

If there's scaled up ones appropriate for a Wing, then there could be numerous vessels to protect etc.

Could also be interesting if combined with Powerplay if counter missions are then to attack a ship/escort etc ;)

Some of these haven't been added in, someone should have asked if we will see new station types, and what not.

Not even one of those have been added in yet. ;)

Different devs and David have said that more is certainly "on the list"...the big question is when. Personally I would have no problem with them redirecting some of the dev team away from ships and put them on making more variation to stations/outposts. People really seem to like their ships though...

Ha actually you're right. i really wanna see more of these added, hopefully this patch adds a few of these.
