Developer Journal: Zookeepers and Staff Paths

Buildings in Planet Zoo have a sphere of influence, or a certain radius, attached to them; anything that enters that sphere impacts the guests. So for example, if a guest wanders into the sphere of a staff building, they will see/hear this building and perceive that as "negative". If they walk around the building radius, they will not be affected by its presence.

So, will there be a way to decrease the radius for example with walls ? or Trees? :)

On the other side, I know a lot of Zoo's having a "show-kitchen" where guest can see how the food is prepared and most of the time you'll find information there about how much food is used to feed diverent kinds of animals. Too bad that this won't be possible in Planet Zoo.

My thoughts exactly. But maybe some creative people or we ourselves can build such a kitchen piece by piece as a neutral building.
 
Having staff paths is what I was missing in Planet Coaster. All the additional simulation and management features that impacts guests, staff, and in this case the animals as well, are really great additions.

I'm hoping that depending on theming and paths, the negative impact of having staff buildings near guest paths can be mitigated somehow, like completely blocking the view of the building.
