"Development Level >>"? Figuring out what all these numbers do.

I have Boll City, a Coriolis, courtesy of the name-generator. I imagine it to be dedicated to Uwe Boll's memory in the distant future. :)
Yeah, as an avid clicker of the "rename" button myself and former hobby-cineast i noticed that you can build multiple systems in a director related theme from the generator. Someone probably grabbed a long list of them to feed into the generator. Or there were many movie-fans in the kickstarter. Especially the german sounding names.

You got (Steven) Soderbergh, (Volker) Schlöndorff, (David) Fincher, (Peter) Jackson, (Uwe) Boll, (George) Lucas, (Steven) Spielberg, (Roland) Emmerich, (Tom) Tykwer, (Michael 'Bully') Herbig, (Katja von) Garnier, (Richard) Donner, (Ivan) Reitman, (Paul) Verhoeven, (Werner) Herzog, (Christopher) Nolan, (Stanley) Kubrick, (Wes) Anderson, (Danny) Boyle, (David) Lynch, (Oliver) Stone, (Sam) Raimi, (Ridley) Scott, (Kathryn) Bigelow, (Brian de) Palma, (Robert) Zemeckis, (Tim) Burton, (Francis Ford) Coppola, (Terry) Gilliam, (Edgar) Wright, (Barry) Levinson, (Michael) Moore, (Guillermo del) Toro, (Woody) Allen, (Peter) Weir, (Billy) Wilder, (Bryan) Singer, (Doug) Liman, (John) McTiernan, (Ron) Howard, (John) Woo, (John) Carpenter, (Clint) Eastwood, (Roman) Polansky, (Cameron) Crowe, (Spike) Jonze, (Lars von) Trier, (George A.) Romero, (Robert) Altman, (Orson) Welles, (Victor) Fleming, (John) Hughes, (John) Landis, (Luc) Besson, (Wes) Craven, (Akira) Kurosawa, (Hayao) Miyazaki, etc.

A certain Victorian author, whose name is blocked by the filter, probably generated Marley's Vision. Scrooge can't be far behind...

I actually do have an asset called Roddenberry Vision ;)

You know you’ve rolled the dice well when the name generator creates “Bum-Jim” stations or installations for you.

Yes, that is in fact a name which it can give to things. And one of my relay stations has that. I also know of a friend’s outpost which got it.

Some of the random names are clearly from a similar "astrophysicists database" as the estabished systems' facilities' names. Often quite obscure but when I do an internet search of the name as a surname with a term like astronomer (etc) there are some amazing life stories I wasn't aware of, and current scientists, and quite often as many female as male. It's really inspiring.

I am trying to get names of Sci-Fi related people, actors, characters, writers, comic-book artists for my system and so far I have stations, settlements and other elements of colonization named after Adama, Verne, Anderson, Druillet, Clarke, Clifford, Shatner, Moorcock, Vonnegut, Pohl, Burroughs. I once saw one Asimov but lost it - as well as Roddenberry - on the "click, click" of searching for names. I guess I will end with a Theme Park for Sci-Fi fans. And this is all on Frontier's name selection.

Hello everyone, I am testing the wealth level, and I noticed that the replenishment level of steel or titanium is noticeably more replenished, for example, before the tests my wealth level was -35, and steel was replenished by 35-120 goods in 15 minutes, increasing the wealth level to -85, steel and other oil refinery goods are replenished noticeably more, 650-1950 in 15 minutes. but I am still working on this, I think wealth affects not the number of deliveries but the number of replenishments of goods on the market within 15 minutes.

Major, major update! Still going through the notes 😊
This sounds brilliant!:

Economic changes:

  • Links will now automatically be created between completed constructions within systems. Links enable supporting facilities to supply a proportion of their economy to ports across the entire system, increasing the supply, demand and types of commodities available and altering shipyard and outfitting stock.
    • All constructions are divided into two types for the purpose of creating links: Ports and Supporting Facilities
      • Ports includes Outposts, Coriolis/Orbis/Ocellus Stations, Asteroid bases, Planetary Ports and Planetary Port Outposts
      • Supporting Facilities includes Settlements, Installations and Hubs
    • Two types of link are available: Strong and Weak. A strong link provides a higher economic boost than a weak link
      • Strong links are created between a port and any facility located on or around the same local planetary body. They may also be created between ports if there are multiple of this type on or around the same body
        • In the event multiple ports are present, the highest tier port will be linked to. If both ports are of the same tier, the port which was built first will be selected
        • In the event both a planetary and space-based ports are present, planetary facilities will create strong links with the planetary port, which will pass these strong links on to the orbital port following the same prioritisation rules regarding tier and build order
      • Weak links are created between ports and supporting facilities located on different bodies within the same system
      • Both types of link can be present, enabling a supporting facility to supply the economies of multiple ports

And complex as well, for example I have 2 agri settlements on an icy body so output is decreased but the planet has organics (ie. Biosignals) so colony constructions in orbit or on the surface will pickup Industrial (icy body) and Agricultural (organics) influences.

Plus the strong links between the agri settlements and the colony surface/orbital station will still boost the agri factor. It's a complex puzzle - I like it 👍

Yes, I do like it!
So happy I didn't give up on my system....it's going to be a powerhouse.

So happy about this little tidbit as well (too many ships lost attacked by the construction sites):
Law and order around system colonisation ships and construction sites is now enforced by Brewer Corporation.

Heads up!

Interesting. So the "unintended" change that was reverted is going to be actually deliberated, improved and polished upon? That makes sense (and certainly gives raise to a few conspiracy theories 🤪 ). I wonder how the problem of imports eating up exports is dealt with (if at all).

A lot to digest. It indicates that significant restrictions were in place for the Beta. I hop that my marketless asteroid base in an asteroid belt now becomes functional. And that we can produce agri econs, surface and orbiting to become effective.
