Thank you Joël for responding and for your kind words. You are doing a very good job and should be made moderator of the year by Frontier[yesnod] (no kiddin')[yesnod]. You help the community, are present everywhere (streams, forums, events etc.) and keep us informed all the time. You also think further and gives us lists of the Wonderland workshop items shown in the streams. Thank you for that and your work very much indeed!!![big grin]
But nevertheless I have also to say that I'm quite shocked, that nobody of the Dev-team or Community managers answered to this thread. I mean, this thread was ONLY meant to bring positivity back to these forums in a time where there was sooo much negativity. I know that the Devs and everybody else have much to do - BUT they said on several livestreams including last Wednesday that they indeed look into the forum nearly every day. Even Mr Braben said that at the Frontier Expo, maybe they are all talking about the bug forums but, well, I waited more than a week for this answer. In a time where there is so much negativity storming in on the Devs I thought that help like this might be appreciated (even a famous gaming magazine reported on forum negativity worldwide lately and that some devs fear their own community). But instead of using this possibility to at least state that they are really passionate (which we know) in developing the game with the same passion like before, we hear nothing. I mean, come on. I didn't even ask them of giving further information about future development. This was, at least to me, a kind of 'slap into the face'. Bo has mentioned in Wednesday's stream that she also loves Devblogs but they are time intensive, which I said in my OP that I know this and it's totally okay if a Devblog is not possible. Now, after Bo mentioning this in the stream, I am okay with it.
What bothers me is, that whenever community tries to give them a hand (which they might not need or want and might is considered inappropiate by other community members which I understand) it seems to me now, that community is being ignored in that. What a bummer! I know that the Devs read the bug sections and don't have much time. But an answer to this thread or the initial question shouldn't have been that hard.
Giving information about updates and then not giving any further information for quite some time isn't a wise marketing strategy in my opinion. Spooky was announced but no information given - a ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎storm was the result which ended as the spooky pack came out and (nearly) everybody was satisfied - ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎storm ended.
A big revolution was suspected for the anniversary update, people even expected more because information was linked to an expo. A lot of people weren't satisfied, even more (I guess) were satisfied. Nevertheless a ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎storm happened.
To this day we didn't get further information - fair enough. But what does the marketing department think?[uhh] Honestly, I am really asking that myself right now. Trying to establish a hypetrain is a good idea. But for that we need information and not teasers that tell us nothing. I hoped they learned from the spooky announcement disaster but now they are doing it yet again. I love what has been published. Not all is perfect but I still think it will be developed further in future (maybe I am only utterly stupid, but I really think that the game will improve further). Now we got teased yet again but the hypetrain got stuck. I know that a ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎storm will stop after we got more information or the anniversary update got published. But why are they doing that to themselves?[uhh][cry][rolleyes] Now I and others tried to give them a hand (which maybe I shouldn't have done) to at least tell us in this thread that they are really passionate and that there are still more things to come (even when it is only AFTER the anniversary update) and we hear nothing.
As I understood from what Bo said during the Wednesday livestream is, that we get more bushes, trees etc. (and by the way, community doesn't love to bury trees in the ground to get bushes but we have to because of lack of foliage so far.[shocked][big grin]). Sorry about my rant here, but I cannot understand that behaviour in times where the Devs and Community managers even address that negativity in their streams and ask us to be friendly to each other but then ignore those given chances. [where is it]
I am totally okay if they don't answer because of ... reasons I might not understand. Fair enough. But I couldn't help myself to withstand to write down that I am really shocked and to be honest disappointed by this. Maybe you consider me being totally stupid or maybe some of you understand what I am trying to say. I don't know.
