I get that devs are busy but would be nice to get an answer either way for 1.3
Well, it's sad but they're not answering any 1.3 VR related questions. And I've not seen them answer any other VR questions about the future of ED and VR other than what David Braben said in that video lately.
I could be wrong and missed something but it's still sad they don't answer questions. Just a little line like: "Hey all you VR players, you're still on our radar", would go a long way.
Yeah it's a little disappointing. It's not like we need a full report and they take time to answer other questions.
Sounds like the new SDK would be worth them upgrading to.
That is really it!Not communicating creates an atmosphere of doubt. Not something you'd want your early adaptor crowd to be in.

I must agree too. The lack of communication is really disapointing. Elite sales is doing well, and I'm sure there is a lot of users with the rift that bought Elite just because of the VR implementation.
I don't understand why they are ignoring this forum section. Seriously, it's not difficult to give us at least an answer about this.
They never mention VR in the dev post. Seem like they don't care about this, while Elite is considered the best game for VR. Really a bad move, VR is the future and will bring more and more players, and a good implementation is capital for Elite to stay in the top VR game.
I'm now terrified to discover that there will be no change in powerplay for the rift. Because for me, no information = no change.
I'd really like to see a dev response as well. A "we are still working on it" would be better than nothing.
It's not just the VR forum. They're ignoring VR questions everywhere.
The best assumption you can make is indeed "no information = no change", everything else comes down to speculation.
We, or at least I, don't ask for much, not even confirmation of working on SDK 0.6, just a sign that VR is still on the roadmap (as promised) and actively worked on. Or not, that's ok too (I'd be really disappointed though). Just let us know.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to give you all a heads up to let you know that there are some issues that occur when running Elite: Dangerous with the latest Oculus 0.6 SDK, which we are currently investigating.
In the meantime, it may be best to not update to the latest SDK for optimal performance when running Elite: Dangerous on your Oculus Rift.
We will keep you posted with further updates as they become available.
Please, backpedal more![]()
I didn't have a dev turn up on my doorstep, blowing a trumpet & reading a list of VR improvements from a scroll. Hence, they're ignoring the VR community and denying that 0.6 even exists. It's a travesty fuelled by capitalism and greed.
Oh wait, what's this sticky post pinned to the top of the VR forum?
