Devs, please add Gibbons and Siamangs

I remember hearing that there was a gibbon found in the files when the beta was datamined (along with a howler monkey) so maybe it will be added at some point.
Ooh, I hope so! I love listening to them in Zoo Tycoon 2 and in real life at the Phoenix Zoo.

I work with siamang on a regular basis so I'd love to see them in-game. Or any gibbon. I think the fact that they are so much more arboreal than other primates, even in zoos where many primate species eventually "learn" to be terrestrial, makes it difficult to include them, though. They do spend time on the ground in captivity, but not nearly as much as the great apes, or even many monkeys. I also work with capuchin, and while they have a ton of climbing space they do go on the ground quite a lot because they know they'll get easy access to food down there (primarily due to the fact that when they feed a lot of their food falls to the ground). The siamang aren't the same. They'll come down for a bit to grab a toy or a snack, but they always take it back up into the jungle gym again.

So I was watching more videos of Gibbons and Siamangs, because I was having major withdrawls. Gosh, I seriously need these fellas in PZ! Please, oh please devs add these, because they would be a wonderful addition to PZ. They are so unique and I love the songs/sounds they make and I love watching them swing around! 🥰

OMG I could kiss you for starting this thread, this would be my dream to have this primate in Planet Zoo. Ever since they even announced the game I had been searching for Gibbons, I did see the leaks as well, and was heartbroken when there were no Gibbons. I have even had dreams that I had Gibbons in Planet Zoo. Imagine their sounds thru the zoo, swinging from tree branch to tree branch. By the way we would need some better dead tree props to come along with the gibbons, because it would be hard to spot them thru the current heavy foliage trees we got. But please, please, please, yes give us a gibbon please.

Personally, I believe we should get both just because both look and sound so different from each other.

I doubt we'd ever get both, we'd never be that lucky. There's a limited number of animals they can add to the game within a timespan of 2-3 years, so we'll be lucky to get a single gibbon species I think. Personally I'd prefer the siamang, but I suspect we'll one day see the northern white-cheeked gibbon. It's critically endangered and has a decent captive population.
