Ships Diamondback Stats and Figures

Hello. Wanted to get this started for everyone as they seem eager to play with this ship... well at least the explorers. So until we have the details what do people think the stats will be like?

I am guessing 4.5mil for a 4 med hard point ship with a jump range of a Anaconda.

Cheaper than an Asp, longer jump range than an Asp, effectively the same DPS (without the penalty for smaller weapons) as the Asp?

I doubt it :)
 
I think it will be a very similar price to the Asp, maybe a little higher. It will just exchange cargo space for combat stats and hopefully have increased jump range.

So 7-9mil.
 
the ships subforum has some speculation already.
Its been described as a combat explorer, I wouldn't take that to mean its particularly good at either, just its bad at trading.
 
To be honest, judging by the looks of that ship, i'm asuming it will cost somewhere between Python and T9. Maybe event closer to T9...

It's a small ship, the biggest FSD on a small ship is a Class 4. So at around 120T Hull Mass, you'll get into the mid 30s for jump range.

That's still twice as big as a Viper. It could be pretty decent at both, I'm picking a small gunship type vessel - slower than the Viper and Cobra, slightly better armed 2xMid,3xSmall with a Class 4 Distro.

...... Really. A ship about the size of a vulture (if not smaller. Look at the landed picture) costing over 50,000,000? you are crazy. If anything, I think it may be in the 10-20 mil range. My guess at the weaponry is that it will have medium hardpoints on the sides, just before the engines, and perhaps small hardpoints on the side of the cockpit. I know that sounds like barely any weapons, but I am quite sure that there will be more than just that. It was all I saw that I think may be hardpoints.
 
Well, downloading the beta atm. First thing I am going for the Diamondback to check the stats. I hope its what I want. High jump range, equal in combat to Vulture (or slightly less powerful) and more expensive.
 
The recent CG that gives a 20% discount on it makes me think that it might be relatively expensive, but I'm only guessing. My main hope is that it gets a larger jump range than the Asp.
 
I'm hoping it fills in the gap between 10-30 mil. The only ships currently available at that tier are faction specific so there's so options between asp and python if you want to remain a freelancer
 
So basically not much use then!

Was hoping for 4x class 2 and a 30Ly range. I have saved 100M Cr ready for a look at the new ships.
