So today I thought I had run into a bug, but I figured out it was user error! I had been editing some plants in one of my habitats and was looking for a specific tree which I had used earlier in the game, but for some reason I couldn't find it. I was only getting a handful of trees pop up in the menu after I used the foliage type filter. So, I just ended up duplicating the plant I had used earlier in my zoo and continuing on. I went to place some tropical rocks- but all of a sudden the only rocks I had available were Snow rocks! So I thought, what the hell, I'm missing a huge majority of pieces here... I should file a bug report. I was just about to upload my report when I looked at the screenshot I had taken and noticed I had typed "w" in the filter bar. >.< doh!
So, if you think you're having an issue with missing parts in your build menu, or having trouble using filters to find a piece, double check you didn't type anything into your word filter search bar.
