Because the future looks bleak. Well that is the galaxy they created.. so the avatars actually do suit the flavor of the galaxy. Soulless, monotone and lifeless, dreary.

I'm not gonna lie, the lack of long hair on ALL of the women in mission boards is very worrying. I didn't think it would bother me as much as it does but it does. I really want to make a character that represents me in this game. My hair's about half way down my back. (and bright pink but that's another topic)

Now I'm not saying I need it to be that long in the game but at least past my shoulders would work. At the moment I get the feeling I'm gonna end up nearly bald. At which point I'm likely to stop playing the game honestly. It would feel like adding in the engineer as they are with all the cool mods they can do but removing my beloved Cobra MK III.

I'm hoping FD do give those of us with decently long hair options for the sake of choice and not just hand wave it away off the reason of "realism" cause it is a game after all. Giving us a character creator and forcing me to have extremely short hair is sure to stop me playing.

Yes I know that's petty but a game with a character creator in it has always bothered me when that character creator is bad about little things like that and actively drives me away quicker than anything else. I can't help it.
