Different Thargoid behavior?

This video I posted was from the 13th of June. I posted this in the Cannon megathread as soon as it went live, but it got lost in the craziness, so my curiosity is peaking. Is this "new" or normal for other large ship commanders? https://youtu.be/a15JfMgZa60

It's normal, apart from getting pulled out by an alien ship.

I did notice that it spins around while scanning the player ship after a couple of updates, this happened to my FDL while chasing some bad guys around Maia. I wonder if meta-alloys or unknown items will interact with it during a hyperdiction.
