Dig Site Suggestions for Future Updates

Do you guys think that they should add in new dig sites in future updates? If so, what dig sites would you like to see be added into the game?

Here are some dig sites I would like to see be added in:

Ischigualasto Formation: Herrerasaurus
Hanson Formation: Cryolophosaurus
Dashanpu Formation: Shunosaurus, Yangchuanosaurus
Lameta Formation: Rajasaurus, Isisaurus, Indosuchus
Wessex Formation: Iguanodon

Dashanpu Formation: Shunosaurus, Yangchuanosaurus

It is already in the game - the Ziliujing Formation is a sub-unit of the Dashanpu Formation.

Wessex Formation: Iguanodon

Also basically represented in the game - the Isle of Wight is part of the Wealden Group - which includes the Wessex Formation.

I am hoping that we get the following formation -

Allen Formation/Malargue Group/La Colonia Formation - Carnotaurus

I vote for this, simply because I want the Herrerasaurus.

Acrocanthosaurus, Albertosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Iguanodon, Ouranosaurus and Therizinosaurus. I would not add more. With these dinosaurs roster will be unbeatable. Very hopeful to see more tyrannosaurs.

names every majorly known large carchardontosaurid, hopes to see tyrannosaurids

Jokes aside, for me Acro, Carcharo, Albertosaurus are 3 very important dinos that are still missing. I would understand if Carcharo was not added, but i would not put Acro away because its a charcharodontosaurid. The spine-ridge and intense build would be severe bonuses to the game. Albertosaurus is a tyrannosaurid, and highly requested as the shrieking devil from OG. Ouranosaurus is really requested too and so far we dont have any other dinosaurs from Tegama beds except Suchomimus.

Yeah - Platesaurus - Late Triassic - Early Jurassic Prosauropod. So it definitely not in the game - so far. Maybe in some future update/DLC.

Very hopeful to see more tyrannosaurs.

Agreed - I would love to see at least 3 tyrannosaurs, - 4 or 5 would be better. T.rex is obviously the first and most well known tyrannosaur. But here's is a few others I would love to see.
Tyrannosaurs (hopefully at least 2)

- Albertosaurus/Gorgosaurus - best known tyrannosaurs - besides T,rex
- Nanotyrannus (controversial - I know, but if Dracorex, & Torosaurus can make into the game. Why not - Nano? )
- Alioramus/Qianzhousaurus - slender, long snouted tyrannosaurs
- Daspletosaurus - smaller tyrannosaurine

Other Tyrannosauroids - that would nice to see in the game

- Eotyrannus - a 4-5 meter long, tyrannosauroid from the Isle of Wight
- Guanlong - small, 3 meter long, proceratosaurid - found in the Dashanpu Formation.

I can see sort of a issue with the carcharodontosaurids when looking over your list of tyrannosaurids :) Most of the carcharodontosaurus family are massive predators.

I am sort of hoping for atleast 3-5 Carcharodontosaurids in total, but those are reasonable choices.

So if we look over the large variants of Carcharodontosaurids we get:

- Carcharodontosaurus - 12.2-13.2m long - The mainstay of the family.
- Acrocanthosaurus - 11.5m long - Extremely unique apex predator.
- Mapusasaurus - 10.2m long - Pack hunting Carnivorous titans.
- Tyrannotitan - 11.4-12.2m long -I know very little of this one and i consider it the lowest ranked one.

I'd say that 3 out of the 4 can be viable additions to the game. Tyrannotitan is the only one i know very little of and dont really find that necessary. Traitwise Carcharodontosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus and Mapusasaurus are much more interesting additions without too much repetition.

What about smaller carcharodontosaurids? Lets go:
- Neovenator - 7.6m long -unique medium sized carnivore from the Isle of Wight...so very likely we'll see that one.
- Eocarcharia - 6-8m long - fleshing out the Tegama Beds with a smaller carcharodontosaurid...why not?
- Shaochilong - 5-6m long - A very cool chinese carcharodontosaurid in the medium sized category.
- Concavenator - 6 m long- Unique bonestructure on its back. Would love to see this one ingame.

Carcharodontosaurids are in heavy contrast to the tyrannosaurids...lighter built, but larger, and has teeth for slicing, not crushing. And Frontier has a extremely good opportunity to pull out some very interesting varying carcharodontosaurids compared to tyrannosaurids in my opinion. That being said, i would too love to see some more variants of tyrannosaurids.

Well - Mapusaurus and Tyrannotitan are Giganotosaurini - that is part of the same tribe as Giganotosaurus. As I have said with other members of the Tyrannosaurini tribe - they are not needed - and maybe a bit confusing to non dilo-philes. They are basically as similar to Giganotosaurus - as Tarbosaurus, & Zhuchengtyrannus are to Tyrannosaurus rex.

Well - smaller species of Carcharodontosaurs would be a nice change as well.

Neovenator, & Eocarcharia are very good choices - and their respective dig sites are already in the game.
A couple of other choices - would be the following -

- Gualicho - from Argentina (Candeleros/Huincul Formations)
- Australovenator - from Australia

I'd buy those.

Of those, I would choose Albertosaurus (since it was in JPOG), Alioramus (it was going to be in JPOG, but was cut due to time constraints), and Guanlong (because, let's face it, it's a cool looking dinosaur).

Like i wrote in the list, Mapusasaurus could be a potentially interesting addition despite its similarities due to its pack-hunting behaviour. It is also smaller than its 2 brethren(1-3 meters depending, Giganotosaurus is 3m longer). Tyrannotitan is not necessary in the game most definetly, I'd rather they add Acrocanthosaurus as they are about the same size.

I'd be extremely happy of Neovenator and Eocarcharia came into the game, but i have to admit i hope they add the Las Hoyas formation for the concavenator alone. It would be worth it.

edit: just realized i wrote mapusasaurus instead of mapusaurus. Ooops.
