Your Feature Request / Idea
Hunting:
this mechanic has been a problem for me since day one because to be honest it's very unrealistic in comparisons with this games predecessor operation Genesis, I think a hunting mechanism where the carnivores pursue their prey by stalking in either Long Grass or possibly hidden in the forest where are herbivores are unaware that the carnivores are stalking them then at the last minute when carnivores like T-Rex and other large carnivores we'll Ambush their prey when they are close enough within range and the carnivore only has 30 percent chance of catching their prey which is I would like to see in the game.
Pack hunting:
small carnivores are not the only ones to know how to pack hunt however Velociraptor Deinonychus are well-known pack Hunters unfortunately in the current game the current mechanic doesn't show teamwork amongst the Raptors and the other small carnivores working together taking down Hadrosaurus as a team I feel like this is definitely needed as it was advertised in the opening trailers of Hunting.
Large carnivore hunting groups:
Giganotosaurus Cacharadontosaurus are known to work together in groups in order to take down large sauropods however this is not well shown as it seems that sauropods are immune from most carnivores except the hybrid indominus Rex from Attack, it's kind of strange since these carnivores are the only ones known in the paleontology to have work together in groups in order to take down large herbivores like sauropods I think this mechanic needs to included where these three distinct groups need to work together with their own species in order to take down to Diplodocus Brachiosaurus or even dreadnoughtus. Both Giganotosaurus and Cacharadontosaurus have been known to slice off Flash off their prey while it's still alive and causes them to bleed to death which would be an interesting mechanic to include into the game so I highly recommend this feature to Frontier for the shark tooth lizards.
Sauropods grazing:
one problem I have with this game is the fact that the sauropods don't graze on the trees or satisfy their hunger by eating off the trees I feel like this mechanic is not very good since these sauropods rely heavily on the feeders, I recommend a mechanic where grazing sauropod dinosaurs can prevent themselves from being so soon in the game and by grazing on the trees which can prevent them from always being hungry giving Park owners a chance to build up our funds in order 2 fill the feeders without worrying about constantly feeding our sauropods.
Medium and small herbivores grazing:
Every time I play this game I notice like the sauropods the medium and small herbivores in this game heavily rely on the feeders however this mechanic however I feel like grazing could be an opportunity for Frontier 2 stabilize the hunger meter of each individual animal in order to prevent constant usage of the feeders by the herbivores so I recommend a mechanic similar to this.
Spinosaurus, Baryonyx and Suchomimus feeding:
Currently in the game so far these three dinosaurs are depicted as just meat eaters which is fine however it would be nice if these three particular dinosaurs showed fishing Behavior similar to their prehistoric counterparts and showed signs that they were fish-eaters and I recommend a mechanic to Frontier to depict these dinosaurs as fish-eaters as they are so famous for in their behavior.
