Dinosaur panic without reason

Dear Frontier,

I'm wondering why hadrosaurs and compies for example get in panic mode while a flying reptile is near.
The flyers have no kill animation for these dinos and don't hunt them so why these sort of dinosaurs get in panic?
Would be nice to change this or adding a kill animation.

Idk, prey animals being skittish in the presence of a predator, even if it's not a real threat to them, seems pretty standard.
I've seen Cheetahs passing a herd of Zebras and non of the Zebras were panicing. They just watched them. Also often seen in documentarys. If the predators don't actually hunt, the prey is attentive but they don't start running in crazy circles ;)

And I've seen a herd of deer scatter cause a pine cone fell out of a tree. ;) ;)

ok also seen often enough deers running away from my little dog, but complete other situation. Can't compare these european animals who has to deal with human hunters and Streets, with the other ones in a wildlife reserve.
At the end we'll never exactly will know how they had reactet, maybe a mix of both can be the deal that also expand the variaty of different behaviors 😁

As long as they don't panic all the time (which I confirmed myself ingame, they don't), it's just another behaviour imo - so not to worry.

I Hope one day they make réalisme mode: carnivore hunt when they are hungry and kill what they need per day. Breeding so when one die WE Can have working écosystème. And you mention one they dont panic when they sée predators i would like to have water were carnivores and herbivore drink togheter like in camp cretaceous

But carnivores don't always hunt what they need in nature. They often times just do it just like that. Popular example: Housecats. They literally kill everything on sight.

old thread, but this "problem" still exist.

So Frontier again I'm asking for an option for sandbox to deactivate panic for dinosaurs.
With the sanbox option: no dislikes and all liked at least the info tab of the dinosaurs says they like all other species, but there is still the problem that eg a herd of parasaurolophus starting to panic when just a tiny dimorphodon or johelopterus fly over or near them.

Just would be nice to have such an option especially for "open wildlife parks".

Thanks for your time ✌️

I'm guessing this is a consequence of being able to release flying reptiles outside the Aviaries, which wasn't a feature previously. Even with "All Likes", the game probably still thinks flying reptiles outside of Aviary = escapees, which causes other dinosaurs to panic.

thanks for the answer.
would be nice to see it adjusted in a later hotfix :)

This is something of an issue, actually.

Dinos are getting stuck in endless panic loops until they starve/dehydrate.

This is especially bad with the tiny species. Like Moros for example. When in an enclsoure with bigger species, they will starve and/or dehydrate to death because of panicking all the time, even though they like the other species.
Needs to be fixed

Weird, I have the Moros, compies, and oviraptors with the bigger theropods that won't harm them and they never panic.

I tested this a while back. Moros, compies, and Oviraptor can cohabit with all of the giant carnivores and all herbivores + Deinocheirus. Small carnivores will eat them though, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the smaller medium carnivores (e.g. Metriacanthosaurus, Cryolophosaurus) eat them or at least cause them to panic too, since these smaller medium carnivores share panicking behaviour with the small carnivores. Additionally, I wouldn't be surprised if unenclosed pterosaurs cause them to panic too, and tour rides and ranger / MVU / ACU vehicles (and possibly the arrival helicopter as well) vehicles definitely cause them to panic as well.
