Disbanding Squad

Sorry if this topic has been discussed before -

I wish to disband a squad that I started long ago and no-one joined. The game tells me - "After disbanding the squad, all progress, upgrades, and financial assets will be lost.." if I disband it will all my game progress, upgrades and assets from the day I started playing Elite dangerous be lost, or just the squad progress from the time it (the squad) started?

Nothing will be lost from you personally.

That text feels like leftover from when Fleet Carriers were meant to be squadron assets (and prob upgradable with a squadron resource asset).

A squadron doesn't have anything of that nature, so nothing will be lost.

Note: i have started and disbanded several squadrons for (reasons).
