Greetings Commanders,

How are you all doing then, after the weekend just passed?
Felt it necessary to ask following the recent happenings out there in the black, you know?

Anyway.

Please find this week's edition of Discovery Scanner live and available for you today at the following location: https://www.elitedangerous.com/news/discovery-scanner-05122022

Notes:
  • You'll see it mentioned that, as ever, all of us as teams behind the scenes are eternally grateful for the thoughts, feedback and reports following the deployment and release of Update 14 last week. We're remaining focused with heads down, tracking through a lot of what has been sent and said, so do bear with us as there may be a slight dip in live communication with you all here, as we press on with all of the immediate discussions on this side (as is the case following any major update like this o7 - THANK YOU SO MUCH!).
    • TLDR Bullet Point #1: As soon as we have any progress updates for you on thoughts and feedback you've recently shared, we will be right here with you.
    • TLDR Bullet Point #2: Please accept prior apologies for any delayed or missing response to any questions in this thread that may come through, flavoured around: "What about X issue I mentioned last week?", as we continue toward getting those answers addressed in bulk for you, as soon as possible.

As always Commanders, you're the greatest and we love what you do o7

Have a wonderful week ahead, and of course, we'll be in touch real soon.

I had a good weekend, thanks! Got blown up by my first Thargoid, but I did get him all the way down to 99% (not a typo, just a 1% drop lol). Did some evacuation missions, evading other Thargoids (I'm a runner, not a fighter apparently). Learned that if you're on foot on a planet and step on a geyser you get launched to a hilariously high distance. So high in fact, that your SRV gets sad that you've abandoned it and it self-destructs. Oh, then if you don't use your jetpack correctly on the way down your fun little trip ends badly lol. So yeah, all-in-all good times!

The best thing is that in pause of EDO in the bubble, I can jump into parallel Legacy universe and at last go to visit Sag A.
Great decision to make and give us a copy of our Cmdrs o7

Taking extra strength anxiety medication, that's how lol.

Thargoids are not only op++ but the scale of their invasion is huge. We can't rescue people like we could before. That's fine, and we would cope, but instead of fighting we're tied up at Guardian sites trying to get proper weapons.

Suggestion: let us buy Guardian Gauss cannons like the ones from the CG with credits so we can recruit AX noobs to help out. Otherwise, there aren't enough properly equipped AX pilots to fight this thing off. It's fun for them now, but the relentless peak battles and losses will start to wear them down soon enough. Human space is at a huge risk.

Help!!

My weekend has been confusing but that is down to TV schedule changes.

There are happenings out in the black.
From what I can tell 99%+ of the known galaxy is just as it was. As for unexplored bit who knows.

when is the patch coming ? because I am unable to send and recieve direct messages from people because when I do the whole chat panel glitches out which prevents me from navlocking onto my friends , also thargoid conflict zones arent progressing , which means I cant help the war effort , also seems lots of crashes been happening to me and my friends , these are crash to menu and crash to desktop , edit lets not forget the carrier bug where you cant choose a jump location within a system.

Sally. Did you and your team setup the Community Goal, Sally??

You guys are wonderful. The community has been asking for this. Personally, I have been whining about it for days on Reddit and even just above here. And to see that you guys watch the community and respond this quickly... you guys are AWESOME!

These weapons will help us a lot in getting all the AX volunteers to step up now, instead of being distracted getting mats. The buzz around the story you guys have created is huge and we have a lot of new and old cmdrs jumping into it. This will only encourage more to join. We're even returning to open mode to share and help out!

Thanks you! Wait, did I say that loud enough? THANK YOU!!!!!
