Greetings Commanders!

This week's Discovery Scanner is now live on the website: https://www.elitedangerous.com/news/discovery-scanner-23052022

---

You may be wondering why the Discovery Scanner is being posted to the website instead of the forums - let's talk about it!

There are a number of reasons why, those being:

  • It's much easier to manage from a single location.
  • It looks much nicer displayed on our website!
  • We want more of you to discover the community section of our website, including the Event Calendar!
  • It helps us with translation so that we can reach more Commanders with the post.

You can of course continue to discuss the post as normal in the thread below!

cant wait for update 12 , theres alot of bugs currently every mission you do with a team eventually bugs out probably due to instancing problems , hopefully this is on the list . is this supposed to be called a raid mission ?

  • An illegal variant of the Raid mission type.
I thought it was an illegal variant of the defend mission type ?
Either way im excited .

Also posting on the website is great .

Nope, the end of May is next week.

It's OK that the website getting the update, I just hope there are forum posts pointing to the latest discovery scanner in then future.
When they said that the update will be in May, then it was already clear that at the beginning and in the middle of the month to wait for nothing, because they are always and always have problems.

Thanks for recognising that this change needs some explanation Zac :)

All those irritating consumer comments can be hidden away behind at least two clicks.

Just to note 'bi-weekly' is ambivalent meaning occurring every two weeks or twice a week. Perhaps fortnightly would be clearer?

  • We want more of you to discover the community section of our website, including the Event Calendar

Shame Discovery Scanner in the news rather than the community section then and some events in the events calendar might help too.
