I'm going to get a degree in marketing so my opinion is worthwhile
But, yes, I think if the sub pass came to PZ the reaction would be similar to PC's. Maybe not quite as frustrated what with PZ's support still ongoing.
Overall, I think people don't need more and more and more subscriptions to pay and I find it incredible that Frontier would be as cheeky to have an absolute disaster of a launch with Odyssey for Elite Dangerous, upset all of the F1 player base with their recent decision to end all support for that title in favour of making a sequel instead, and then deciding they had enough content to justify a subscription pass for PC (a game they've neglected on the platform on which the pass is exclusive).
I also don't think people will be swayed because a couple of people keep saying "No actually it's good and your response is wrong"
Frontier, just don't do this. The only way I can see value in a subscription model is if you bundled all of your DLC across multiple titles in one package and I really don't see that happening.
EDIT: There's also no flame war on Steam because 99% of people there are in agreement.
