So, without further ado:

What's your favourite memory from Planet Zoo this year?

Wow how can I sum up? I have had amazing memories from the beginning of the game in the difficult situations I had, this game made me happier. frontier you really gave me life with this wonderful game I thank you for everything you are just the best every time you do your best and the best work you can do I love you so much and thank you for everything (if you ask then yes there is I have a tear🥲) and today is a week since Europe Pack and Update 1.8 the best dlc and also the best update I have a very hard time choosing one good memory (if it's ok to say everything then it's my answer lol even though there are some problems in the game and it crashes) but the best memory Mine it's all the processes since you announce dlc until launch, I LOVE U FRONTIER TEAM 💚

It's difficult to choose one memory because this game has had a big impact in my life during these strange times.

Although the news of a North America animal pack and even better the news of the Europe pack were amazing, I'm going to say that my best memory was how happy I was when you fixed my favourite animal in the world. Changing the requirements for the polar bear and adding diving to them is the best thing of this amazing year for Planet Zoo.

Thanks!

As someone who play mostly for the animals/management, my favourite PZ moment from this year was the introduction of animal packs. I really like how the packs cycled between regular scenery pieces packs and animal packs, so both the builders and animal people are cartered to.

Also loved the anniversary update ! I am very grateful for the amazing gifts we got from the PZ team ! 🥰 Wishing everyone great Holidays and a well deserved rest. 🦡

I have serious trouble remembering where 2020 ended and 2021 began, to be honest. :D But my favourite memory was welcoming you two @Francesca Falcini and @Eltanin Casciani as our community managers. Communication is a lot more fun since then and has moved away from "we've got something to sell!" only every three month.

When it comes to the game, my favourite was the inclusion of the different sandbox settings, making the game so much more versatile. Together with the color variation update back in the day my absolute favourite free update by far. And while I don't want the last days of 2021 to be over soon (I have some days off, finally), I can NOT wait to see what you guys have for us in 2022.

EDIT: SEA LION! Why on earth did I forget the sea lion and the incredible improvement of the diving requirement? So much good things this year, wow.

2021 is all a bit of a blur but Planet Zoo was a big help in some of the toughest times. Like when you’re self isolating and it’s minus 20° outside…

In terms of memories, the launch of the animal pack concept springs to mind as a really welcome development. The other is the Europe DLC animal lineup. The animals went so well together and there was nothing that made me think, oh great but I’ll never use it, or why not this one, for example.

I only started playing in January so discovering the game itself and what I can do with it. As @markun says, it's been a tough year and getting lost in the animals and planning the parks has been a great help. I really noticed the difference when I hurt my hand and couldn't play for several months.

See the King Penguin for the first time was my definitely the one thing that sticks out for me. Watching those beautiful animals waddle around , and seeing them swim around....chefs-kiss!!

They are just too adorable 🐧
That was technically last year. ;)

Unless you only got the Aquatic Pack in January, of course.

For me, it was the addition of the meerkat and the white rhino. The main African animals I'm missing to make my zoos feel complete now are the Hamadryas baboon, serval, and addax and/or scimitar-horned oryx. The meerkat especially was a huge relief to me, and they're so much fun to play with. I only wish they had some climbing ability or a sentry-post enrichment item to really bring them home.

The best memories come down to four contenders. And it's the four mornings where you watch the DLC announcement trailers. These mornings, watching the trailer while half asleep and then watching the recap videos, are just pure vibes!

Anyway, the best one was waking up to the North America Animal Pack! Seeing that Sea Lion and the Moose for the first time was incredible! Still the best Planet Zoo Pack!

The years are blurring together 🤦‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️

Seeing those meerkats in my game for the first time ever, and seeing what an amazing job Frontier did with my most wanted animal. The sneak peek trailer had me a little worried because the whole head/neck looked off, but of course when I saw the full release trailer and in my own game, I was just overjoyed. They're probably my #2 animal in the game (giant panda will always win out!)

Rodents finally found their way to the game!
Especially the prairie dog got me excited. Besides the meerkats, I wasn't expecting to see such small habitat animals showing up in the game. They add something very different to the animal rooster and are very useful in many types of zoos! I cross my fingers for more rodents and more small habitat animals overall in 2022!

And thank you Frontier for a great year!
I joined this forum in November last year. Back then there was more of a skeptical feeling towards the future of the game and towards Frontier in general. Now it is different. Especially over the last half-year, the game has felt more alive than ever. We as a community talk more positively about the game and what to expect next and feel like our opinions matter. The increase in the number of animals added to the game compared to the last year, the free anniversary update, forum discussions, useful items in the free updates like mesh pieces and additions to the existing building sets, and more have all been part of this positive change.

We don't know when support for this game will come to an end, but right it feels like it has a lot of life left! Continue the good work!
