[Distant Worlds 3302] December 1st 3302 - Waypoint #24 (Reunion Landing)

Just had a 10-minute transition to leave orbital cruise at Mitterrand Hollow and less than minute after I got through my game crashed to desktop (without triggering the crash reporter). Looks like I'm a non-starter for this one, sorry! Good luck to every one else trying to get to the site and have fun!

I had the same at about the same time lol.

I did get down after restarting the game and was nice to see a few familiar faces. I could only stay 15 minutes though.

See you out there.

I outfitted my new FGS and left work early specially to take part in the SRV & SLF races, logged in at 17:50, already docked at Schneider Relay just a few minutes away, and spent the next 1.5 hours trying to find an instance with more than 2 other CMDRs in it.
Eventually found one, and it was too late for the SRV race, but I stayed and we had our own shenanigans, including building a ship tower. :)
Pics to follow.:D

Late to the party, as ever. -_-

I assume if I would log in tomorrow (December the third) and fly over to Mitterand Hollow, no one would be there, right? o_0

Damn you, Job, if it wasn't for you I would have made it! -_-
(And I wouldn't have money to buy E:D or have Internet, but thats a different story...)

I logged in, eventually there were over 10 of us, then game crashed and I couldn't get in to a busy instance anymore.
I have dozens of praises for ED and DB, but their biggest and constant failing that cannot be fixed ever(the underlying architecture) is the network code.
Perfect game would be ED's game play and Eve Online's networking.....

I was there as well but had very little luck with instancing. Had a bunch of crashes / stalls, managed to get one instance with just a few people in it at one point, but eventually I decided I had enough and just gave up. For a multiplayer game, Elite sure hates it when people actually play it together... these massive meetups are always a problem and make the game want to cry. Ah well. Salute to all the distant worlders, especially victims of FDev networking! You shall be remembered :)
