Distant Worlds - A journey beyond the Abyss

Hit WP 16 on Saturday (well the space around it as I am non horizons), is there a defined date for Beagles point? Real life may mean I head straight there for the final rendezvous (orbit of). It may be worth organising a space photo shoot for non planetary landing folk. After hitting WP16 I had a keyboard malfunction - was scooping the main star and batteries died, I was unable to accelerate away (KB&M player). Hull down to 60%. Will continue, as I guess, with new batteries, I will make the rest without incident. It also released my fuel drone thingies - I have now ditched the rest :-(. Getting better jump range though :)

Hi guys,

For any of you who are running behind the leading group, don't forget the FGE sponsored group that is following.

Our next meet up is waypoint 12
NYUENA JS-B D342
4 F A -66.88 / -96.00

Sat 12 Mar 19:00 IGT

I agree, not only that, we are all going to the same area, and I for one don't want to see pictures of where I am going, it spoils the surprise.

You've got more chance of finding rocking horse doo-doo than visiting exactly the same systems I visited, apart from base-camp, of course.

One weekend away and again i find myself honkjumping 2000Ly stretch feeling the need to scan the planets but not having the time for that.
How much was tha payout from doing only the system scan?
Luckily i have the rest of the trip with some more time, but as this should be an exploration expedition, it really makes me feel bad just honkjumping the systems as my only goal is to make Elite in exploration.. :(

Based on my BRB earlier in the expedition I got 500kcr/kly. I have 22.8 ly jump range so you'd need to scale according to your jump range.

That was honk, scoop jump and investigate possible ELWs (was before we reached neutron fields).

You have just made me change all my batteries, keyboard + mouse!
The rendez-vous is scheduled for the 2nd April and the following week.

Fly SAVE, Cmdr! ;)

A quick question regarding the base camp system at waypoint 18: is the tertiary star scoopable?
.
I don't mind using a basic boost to reach it but I'd also prefer to save my reserves for crossing the Abyss and reaching Beagle Point, so I might consider making the jump with a reduced fuel load. (My jump range is now 33.30LY on a full tank thanks to picking up some occupied escape pods in the Phipoea Nebula and near the borders of the Bleia permit zone). If the tertiary is not scoopable, then it also means that people with a low fuel margin will have to be careful how much time they spend in-flight in the system.
Fly and drive safe!

That would make like approx 11000cr/system, seems quite high?

Today could be my last day for a while putting decent time into ED. With The Division out tomorrow I am going to be a little distracted.

I've only made it 8k/ly since my return to the bubble, so don't think I'll get very far. Hoping I don't fall too far behind.

With heavy heart, i, CMDR Cpt. Smoker, captain of the Prosecutor I, have to report severe damage on hull after an high gravity-accident and therefor will abort the journey to Galaxy´s End to mitigate the risk of losing ship and collected data.

To all of you who are still on their ways: Fly safe CMDRs and best of luck to you all!
Would be kind of someone who reached Beagle Point to bring me a Mug from the store there.

Sin.

Fed. Adm. Cpt. Smoker

Safe trails CMDR I hope you get back to the bubble in one piece.

There is fuel there. No worries. Make the jump. We also have fuel rats around :p
