[Distant Worlds] Itiniary for "The Final Five" days at Beagle Point and closing ceremony

Ok guys I am free and available for Sunday 5th for the death leap.

Does anyone want to take part as well, either by following me down in a SRV or as a camera ship, the height we will examine on the night and I am aiming to land in the middle of a ring of ships on a cross drawn by tire tracks if possible.

Time 18:30 IGT on Sunday 5th June 3302

Hey Wish,
If there's time in between practice for the closing ceremony air show and then the actual air show I could be your camera ship for you! :D

I will be online tonight and on Sunday from 14:00 IGT

What I will need is a ship to take me up and jump off, plus a camera ship.

Having it at 18:30 would mean that no one taking part in the airshow will be able to see you do the jump… Why not do it earlier in the day or as part of the closing ceremony festivities?

There won't be time. We will continue straight from the practice run to the actual performance without delay.

Oh poo, I will be out sunday for a few hours right up to the closing ceremony. If I can rush home I might catch the tail end of it, but it's tight. I might as well log the ship in and let it sit there for a few hours while i'm out, but will somebody film it for me?

I am picking up multiple unknown signals and visuals are difficult with a veil of thick Fog shrouding the Crater........

I will remain in the area for the next few hours for any Commanders in the vicinity of Beagle Point who wish to join this impromptu expedition........

CMDR kjkb1980.... out....

Okay...I am a bit concerned for Cmdr kjkb1980...no sign of him.

I have found the rough area where his final photograph was taken - using the position of the Galaxy disc and the shape of the mountain behind him...but nothing.

Kidnapped by Thargoids?

This is a BIG crater!

I found Cmdr kjkb1980...perched on the side of a MASSIVE cliff.

A great time was had. Thank you for inviting company onto your expedition, Cmdr.

The crater in the middle of this huge crater has lots of Arsenic.

Does anyone else think that this rock puts you in mind of Jabba the Hutt...or have I had too much birthday wine?

I am so loving this part of the Galaxy...I may never go home.

PS: For reasons I cannot really properly articulate (birthday wine?) I just love the gritty reality of images like this. It's a rock... in front of a slight incline...in a crater...in the middle of another MASSIVE crater (look at the ridge in the background)...on an alien world 65K LY from Earth. This is a game and look at what it offers us. I am so happy right now.

Work permitting, I propose the following events.

Ship hopscotch.

Srv's jumping from ship to ship while the ships are in the air.

And

Death leap.

I will be sacrificing a srv (possibly) by jumping of a ship in my srv and trying to land safety on the ground using thrusters to slow my desent.

Bets welcome and don't forget the marshmallows for the bonfire if I crash and burn.

Dates to be finalised but I am looking to do the death leap on the 5th.

If anyone else wants to join me, that is fine and we can see who survives the highest hight.

I have added the Deathleap at 17.00 as we talked about. Then I recalled the Ship Hopscotch... We could do this just before the Deathleap as a warm up. I have tentatively added it at 16.30 is that ok with you?

Hi Corbin,
I don't have access to Discord at the moment.

If I download and install it, would it be at all possible to get access to Fleetcomms please?

I'm sorry to be a pain, would just hate to miss out on the closing ceremony.

Thank you,
Keiron.
