We use teamspeak to help coordinate things, others use discord, if some members of the meetup can not access the private group we change groups or meet in open.
Caught up to the folks at WP 17, and I just wanted to thank everyone for the patience with getting me integrated.
I got a couple of pix of us on the rock, but shooting wasn't easy because we were darkside, so the ambient light was pretty low. The Vibrant Green Asp is my bird, FGES Sleipnir.
Here's a shot of a couple of us on the mining expedition last night. Bravo Zulu to the Rock Rats for the waypoint specific mining list!

It's great to see that so many of you were able to make the meet up last night. I'm just sorry that I couldn't be there. Fly safe and hope to see as many of you as possible at the next meet up.

RL is handing me the opportunity to grab a chunk of gaming time this weekend [wife away, I can play!]. I'm currently still in Pheia Briae HD-C c498 which is the 'green system' 2.44ly from WP17, and obviously need to move onto WP18.
If you're in the general area and looking to wing up for travel to WP18/collecting mats etc, please reply below with the expected time and which group and I'll make every effort to be there. I have access to Kamzel, Erimus and Mobius (and open obviously)
My time IGT time slots are approx:
Fri 8th 10am -1pm
Fri 8th 10pm - Sat 9th 1pm
Sat 8th 10pm - Sun 9th 1pm
Obviously I'm not going to be online for the entire blocks, but I will try to juggle around RL commitments to match your availability. [10pm IGT is 8am my local time - I can try a few hours earlier if that's the only possibility, but need to be realistic]
To catch back up to WP17 I've been jonking without opening system map - my plan is to revert to the less frenetic travel procedure of opening system map and scanning anything interesting. Do let me know if you're interested and where you are. Otherwise I shall hopefully y'all at WP18 Sunday IGT

I was making excellent progress with the main fleet for the first month or so, then RL took over, so much so that I've had zero game time for the past 6 weeks...everything has settled down again now, so I logged back in yesterday to find myself in deep space about 2kylies out from SagA*, so I high-tailed it there and hit a few other PoI in the area.
I am now en-route to WP13 and hoping to catch up with the FGE fleet at WP19...maybe 18 if I seriously push it and skip a few WPs
I am determined to complete Distant Worlds, fingers crossed RL doesn't throw any more spanners in the works

Believe me, I know the feeling. I only just caught up to the FGE wings at WP 17.

Just watched it, good news.
Bumped into (well, flew passed) a nice looking ELW today on the way to WP18. It's on the outskirts of a nebula that seemed difficult to get to, and is tagged by Allitnil. There's two other WW also. System: Greeroi HN-Q d6-1
But make it inside the nebula I did I needed to use a basic boost of Jumponium - my first go actually. Jump between Greeroi HN-Q d6-4 [warning - Neutron Star] and Greeroi SL-F c14-0 was 35.89ly which is a little above what CP2 is capable of. But not to worry cos planet 3 of Greeroi UG-F c14-0 has vanadium and planet 2 has germanium (and fair bit of chromium).
Planet 3 of Greeroi UG-F c14-0 is quite stunning actually - if it wasn't for the 'difficulty' getting in it would make a nice alternative Camp (not that I've been to WP18 yet, so that might well be just as lovely):

Waypoint 18 - THE GREEROI VEIL
This small nebula can be tricky to reach due to it being high above the galactic plane. The view from the Veil as you look out across the galactic core is one not to miss. Ships with 34 LYs or more range will be able to enter the nebula itself without the use of Jumponium, although smaller ranged ships may need to use J1 jumps. Our base camp is around 50 light years below the Veil.
