Distress beacons and minor wreckages quantity and location

Is it just me or are the distress beacons and minor wreckage POIs appearing too far out from the bubble?
Just seems like you get 5 or so of these on every planet you map no matter where you are or how far out of the bubble.
Have frontier given up on even trying to make things semi realistic? Seems so canned and blah.

They reduced the range of them spawning to something close to 800ly around "inhabited" space. But I feel it's a lot more than what it used to be. I have 3-4 of them in the "thargoid-guardian" battleground planet, and it feels weird. Especially when they were already there when it was first discovered (by us, not by the people from the hesperus).

Yeah Ive had them 700 Lys out and it just feels ridiculous, skimmers popping out of the ground etc.
Agreed. But they "fixed" it by reducing it to this range. Before that it was no limit, or something ludicrous.
I said I don't remember it went that far in Horizon, but people told me it was and I was wrong.

There's just way too many and way too far out. It's completely and utterly ridiculous that there are 6 distress beacons and 4 debris piles on every single planet in these remote star systems. This has got to go.

I'm currently exploring Veil Nebula West, which is about 1500 LY away from the Bubble. Every single planet (sic!) has wreck and/or distress signals on it.

Very unimmersive.

I was 25K out when Odyssey hit and they were there too.

I'm around 20k ly from the bubble and 15.5k ly from the Colonia, at my DSSA carrier (here), and ever since they adjusted the spawn rates, I haven't seen a single POI yet. There were some before (not that common though), but not anymore.

It still goes quite a way in current Horizons, but I don't think in the same volume, I think that's the big issue at the moment. I sometimes found wrecked ships and stuff 1kly or more from civilisation, finding an odd one now and then sort of made sense, then as you got far away they stopped completely. But finding the occasional wreck site 1kly away from the bubble was fine in Horizons compared to finding 7 wreck sites on the the one planet the same distance away in Odyssey, that's just silly.

There needs to be some sort of reducing chances of encountering them as you move away from civilisation, so in the bubble you would come across them all the time, a lot of traffic there, then a reducing percentage chance so you find them less and less as you move away until they stop appearing.

Nice! So it has improved.

Still, 4-5 crashed ships on every single planet 1500 LY from the populated space is still meh.

necro-threading 'cause this thread appeared while writing the title for a new one:

i'm wandering in the Eoch Pruae zone and i keep getting 4 to six POI on each first-discovered, landable planet/moon.
How hard could it be to tune down this non-sense?

I found wreckage, seemingly guarded by skimmers, thousands of lys from Colonia, when I came adrift from a carrier and had to trudge the last third of the distance. I couldn't chance hull damage investigating further, and meant to come back but didn't. I'm glad of that, now I know it was by no means remarkable.

Currently I'm +-2000ly away from Colonia and I'm getting them also.
Very weird when you doing a long exploration trip.

I think after checking on my last run out the actual vanishing point is around 3kly, after that you won't see any more, once you get inside that range they start to appear sporadically at first and eventually they appear on just about every body. 2kly isn't really that far out, however I think the drop off needs to be more severe so that once you get more than 500-1kly from the nearest station they are quite rare.

Although I agree the amount of POIs could taper off a bit sooner, 2K LY is not really a "long" trip.

I'm not going to do a long trip but I'm coming back via Colonia from a long trip.

Red line is the trip I'm currently doing.
Started 01-01-2022, tried to go as low as I could in the galactic plane, after that triple tritium hotspot system on the right of Sag A.
Next part was to Xothia area, and now from there I'm going to Colonia.
So far 10 undiscovered ELW's (mapped them also), a lot of explo data and exobio stuff.

2k ly is indeed not far from a colonized area ;-)

Thanks for your infos.

I think that it should be a very rare event anyway: is not so easy to crash on a moon with 0.4 G and die, but i'm willing to accept it may happens just to "honor" the Dangerous word in the game name and give some mood. I'll be fine if i find ONE wreckage, in a unexplored system 20000KLy away, 1 time over 1000: i've found a dead explorer. (this could even be rewarding: i scan the wreckage, and gain that exploring data.... bingo!)

But 4 distress calls and 2 wreckage (with active skimmers) POIs on every single landable body, no matter if you're the first human ever to enter there will ruin every effort to believe. After a bit, it sounds ridiculous and ruins also the feel to be alone in the void.
