DLC Price

I am just noticing that the Vintage rides are available on Steam for £17.99. This means we saved £3 by pre-ordering. That's ok, all good. But is £17.99 going to be the price for what will no doubt be more DLC than Planet Zoo over the next five years? Is that £3 saving a bit of a mockery when we could be about to spend £71.96 next year and a potential £359.80 over the next 5 years? What has to be included for you if the price is £17.99 each time? It's almost the price of a new game.

1. Planet Coaster 2: 50€
2. Vintage Funfair Ride Pack: 19€
(1.+2. = deluxe version)
3. PC2 deluxe version: 65€

If 19€ is just for the dlc-pack then it could be possible that they'll keep that price for future dlcs.
But maybe (hopefully) it's a surcharge for not initially buying the deluxe version....

Now, they have a long to do list to reach the status of a fully developed game. They need to regain customers confidence and trust.

Then they could care about paid dlcs!
The price might depend on the then actual development status of the game. If the customers aren't really happy with it they won't buy expensive dlcs...

PC 1 had a price of 10.99 euros per dlc , as long as pc2 has at least a out same content per dlc 17.99 range seems about right taking about 8 years of inflation into account Imo , especially if they keep up the tradition with quite large free updates with dlc that ties in to them , with the december patch that solves many current gripes I'd say I'd move to be willing to spend on Dlc s for the game ,

I hope we get to se maybe security, giftshops and restaurants down the line , I mean either of them could add interesting play as free updates while giving opertinunity to expand on via dlc

Good answer. It’s a fair point about the original DLC and an 8 year old financial economy. But we did also have 5 years of Planet Zoo DLC at £7.99 which is ongoing.

As you hinted at - If the standard price is going to be £17.99 then these really have to be spectacular types of new content.

I’ll buy them regardless. I want a complete game. But to achieve that I have no choice now so the question becomes will I buy the next game?

Let’s see how it goes. Maybe we can have mixed types of content at varying price levels. Some cheaper some more expensive. Let’s see.

Yeah I was thinking of pz also but those dlc s are kind of smaller really , 4-5 animals and one or two buildsets on average , hard to compare 1 to 1 but generally I'd say PC 1 dlc had more content that a pz one

I thought it was nice that they made a mixture of animal packs and scenery packs. Some of them did have 8 animals also and up to a few hundred new scenery pieces. But to make a direct comparisson...... If there were 8 ride types and 200 news pieces in Planet Coaster 2. Is that worth £17.99? This is pretty much half the price of the entire base game (standard) every few months.

As you said, maybe it's just the price of the deluxe upgrade.
