The problem with the canine roster is not that we need more unique options.

The problem is that the basegame included the two perhaps most important species without doing them justice.

A cartoon-ish looking grey wolf that should either have been more generic or more specific. Instead it is stuck a weird place in-between.

And an African Wild Dog which should have been the canine flexing lots of pattern and color variations. Instead they put that effort into a red fox.

If we didn't have the African Wild Dog already, I'm sure it would have been very high-up on the wishlist.

I would rather pay for a rework of these two than getting 5 new canines species for free. The time is more well spent there.
I would pay for the 2 base game canines to get reworked.

African wild dog should benefit from the multiple colormorphs feature.

Gray wolf is kinda obvious that it was meant to be a North American subspecies, so renaming it to northwest wolf would be great. Bonus points if they clone the wolf, tweak it a bit, and give us a Eurasian wolf, too

Il add 2 of my own pick, also want to bring back the formula I set up

Northern hemisphere
1. Golden jackal
2. Palas cat
3. Roadrunner
4. Hamadryas baboon
5. Blackbuck
6. American Black bear
7. South American coati

Southern hemisphere
1. Bush dog
2. Servral
3. Lyrebird
4. Mangled guereza
5. Greater Kudu
6. Southern fur seal
7. Andean Bear

I think another dog is welcome by many of us though... I understand that they have been well represented so far, yet the ones we do have all fall well into the dog or fox categories. The dog family's diversity is NOT fully represented imo. We don't have a single jackal. Coyotes are iconic and would add much to the game in terms of biome and regions. (Although I really hope that if we only get one more dog its not the "Prairie wolf.") Bat-eared foxes eat insects, grey foxes climb, tanukis and bush dogs don't look typical. There are so many canid niches we haven't represented in game yet. I'm not only fine with another dog, I'd welcome him ❤️ especiall Bat-eared fox :)

Sorry, I'm gonna get harsh here.

But I'd rather see 10 more canine species than Asiatic Lions, European Brown Bears or ANY other copy-paste Leopard species out there.

Small Animals Pack: Adding animals that are notoriously small compared to their relatives.
1. Bush Dog - Oddball pick for dog-lovers and adds South American representation.
2. Sand Cat - Feline alternative for the Fennec Fox.
3. Little Blue Penguin - World's smallest penguin.
4. Golden Lion Tamarin - Small monkey with striking appearance and important conservation story.
5. Kirk's Dik-Dik - Ungulate rep, was also mentioned as being in the base game by some magazine review before release for some reason, so it'd be funny to actually have it in the game.
6. Indian Star Tortoise - Any smaller tortoise would do, just throwing in an Asian animal for the pack. Not particularly small for a tortoise, but stands against the two we have in game cus those are big.
7. Short-Beaked Echidna - Yes.
E. Common Vampire Bat - Okay, this one's for me mainly (I am a body, yes?), and I'm not sure how it'd work considering they would not work in walkthroughs for several reasons (could get stepped on plus, plus diet). But they're small and cool and I doubt many people would be upset about their inclusion unless they had a fear of them.

That's
3 South America (bat overlaps with NA)
2 Africa (cat overlaps with Asia)
1 Asia (not counting cat)
and 2 Oceania
