I was at on of the colonia systems recently and found I was carrying 50 ish million of data but does that 50 million include any first dicovery bonuses or are they added after? I am thinking it must add them after because what if you don't hand it right then, as I didn't, the figure would be inaccurate.

The first discovery bonus is added afterwards at the point of sale of the data. It adds 50% of the credit value for what you scanned in that system.
So your 50MCr of data could be up to 75MCr if it was all first discoveries. However the reality is that you'll get a smaller proportion of first discoveries, but still make good credits.
