Do Fleet Carriers "Count" for Unlocking Lei Cheung?

50 Markets. I've unlocked this guy on 3 accounts. Ugh. Then I realized - holy G5 golden Shield Cow - Fleet carriers have markets. There can easily be 50 in a single system!

Yeah - some are duds and won't let you land, some are duds and won't have trade orders in - but still - Do they count???!!!!

Stop being so practical. Just easymode button me the answer won't you?

the really interesting question - is that bound to market ID, or does it allow you to reach 50 markets by jumping your FC 50 times :)

Always thought of the Lee Cheung as one of the easiest unlocks even without FCs.
As a new commander it's not "easy" (none are hard, they just take time), it takes ages. More than 50 jumps and docking/launching.

I can think of several that are much faster. And having an FC doesn't really help. It's fastest to just buy 50 rares and make a spread sheet list of 50 stations to sell it at one by one.

Quickly read through, the tester purchased items at the FC.
To increase the number of markets in the trade stats/engineer you have to sell at a market.

That prolly came about as a side effect of the fix to keep players from going instant trade Elite due to being given money via FC. Happened to one of my alts. I gave it 1B via my FC and it went instant Elite.

This is an issue, every FC market I visited was selling loot but not buying. Really need that as a communication tool in game IMO.

Did you log out inbetween? Some stats only upgrade after a log in the Codex.
It is interesting how the Codex and Cheung update. The codex seems to update very quickly, while Cheung seems to lag by about 2 markets.

My current strategy on this has been to look for high pop systems with three or more stations within 1kls, do low cost purchases and sales. Need 7 more to complete.

This is worse than a fetch quest. I'd prefer if each engineer had a mission string specific to their craft areas. Feel more like a relationship that way.

This is the 4th time to unlock this guy for me (reset once). That's 200 markets visited...

Carriers are represented in the GalMap Commodities filter for both import (buying) and export (selling). The default list of Commodities in the filter is not exhaustive, but anything you have in the cargo hold of your currently active ship will become part of the readout per market source in a system. As per other markets (stations, etc) you need to have docked in the system to see its Commodities data. The drawback is you can only search per commodity, but it may be of some help.

Well I wrapped up that bit of grind. Bummer the FCs don't count. Would have been a nice workaround.

I wonder if Lei Cheung's moon has a high G due to all of that gold he's hording. What a jerk.
