DO NOT SHOOT THE THARGOIDS. YET!

Just a standard debris field with no tell tale signs of Thargoid weaponry. I'd be more inclined to say it was sabotage, politcal infighting, or the Emperor's Dawn. Given the time frame, it might even have been CoR trying to help Salomé. Seen plenty of these with Rescue teams in USSes... several even larger than the one in Facece.

Quite a bit different than what actually does appear to be a Thargoid attack against a capital ship...

One of the rescue USSes that I recorded and uploaded over a year ago.

Well sure, it might have been a political gift of a nuke in a briefcase. But Im more inclined to follow the more obvious clue (such is the style of FD) when the backup called on the site says "something big took out this ship, I want us to be ready in case it returns" and one of the others say "do you think it was.. you know". Comparison with the Distress Signal Threat 0 Farragut, well, the Turnip ships we often see around Maia arent really "something big", more like tiny compared to the capitals which makes it impossible for it to chew through those.

So if theres anything certain is that in the end we got no clue :p Stay safe cmdr, note that superpowers tend to be pretty dirty places to lean your back to by nature.
