Do pre-engineered FSD's still exist?

I'm watching videos from 1 year ago about Pre-engineered FSD drives sold by tech brokers. When I go to the tech broker, I only see guardian modules; did guardian modules replace pre-engineered modules? I'm trying to google but nothing is making it clear.. thx in advance!

if yo go to a human tech broker you can unlock a single pre-engineered fsd, size 5 only though

The tech brokers themselves are all human, but they deal in either human tech or Guardian tech.

The one I usually go to is at Solo Orbiter in Altair.

There are tech brokers that sell guardian tech, and tech brokers that sell human tech, the pre-engineered FSD is Human Tech, to you must go to a "human tech broker" not a "guardian tech broker" it has nothing to do with the tech brokers species, just what tech they trade in.

Don't know where you are so I can't tell you the nearest human tech broker, but Inara lists them all so I suggest going there to find the nearest one.

Go to Inara / Data / Search Nearest.
Type in where you are at in Near Star System.
Click on Nearest Technology Brokers on the right side.
You will get a list of Human and Guardian Brokers closest to you.
