just bought my python today.
Nothing like flying a Shield less ship with a full load of gold and 600 k in balance to make this game more interesting.
I much prefer a bit of risk, so i buy all my ships without enough money to insure them.

Of course it dose not always end well and i lost my T7 and had to start from scratch with my spare T6
But now when i have a powered usb port, i don't have to worry about my x55 trolling me anymore.

I disagree. I've put in 15 odd hours this weekend in my T9 and been interdicted 3 or 4 times only. I bought an Anaconda 3 hours ago, and since then have been interdicted about 12 times, almost every cycle of my trade route. I'm tempted to lose my 10% trade in and go back to the T9 as life was so much more peaceful!!

When this happens you can deselect modules to buy back and make it affordable. Or were you no where near

I prefer my Conda to the T9 for all the usual reasons, but there's one thing I miss from the T9 - that canopy!

It's like the canopy was designed with what the ship will be doing most in mind... docking. I suppose most people without some sort of head tracking or a rift don't realise it's there, and most people won't even use it, but the design department deserves some rep for that one.

The T-6 and T-7 are like that too, I kind of miss it now that I'm in a python. With the T-7, I would just dock using thrusters as my view was forward. This pic is the Asp, but same Idea. Smooth as silk...

Yea I just got the Conda today, After buying it i had 700k in credits left.. Starting from there im back up to 10.4 million. The Anaconda is everything I hoped it would be. 452 tons of cargo. 48 less than the T9 but whoa what a difference. It turns, Boosts and has an amazing jump range.

Even if you consider yourself a hardcore space trucker the Anaconda is the ship to have.

So SO happy I'm finally in it.

im guessing without shield?...when i got my conda and got indercticted from ai was condas beware;p

I too really liked my type 9 when I first got it. As time went on though, I grew tired of the slow behemoth. It just turns soooo slowly. I was so happy when I finally got my anaconda, how quick and nimble it was by comparison to the type 9.

No that is with shields. I might fly without shields in Solo after 1.2 hits and the repair costs are much lower but not now. Conda can fit class 3 shields but since it doesn't have a class 3 compartment no real reason not to at least use class 4A. I've still got a long way to go as far as kitting it out but even off the shelf its a great ship.
