Do you prefer Mouse & Keyboard or stick ( Or HOTAS ) ?

I agree, i feel it is very precise just by its nature, this is especially so if you have built up muscle memory for it.

2 sticks but really I'm better at FAO with m+k. Still tweaking. Sticks just feel more visceral and fun.

I have the EXACT same setup. And I love it. the T.16000m is a sweet and (very affordable) stick.

Yeah I use the T1600m for left hand. It is a good stick for the credits. The hall sensors should give it a good lifetime.

And it comes very handy in menu and galaxy map navigation.

I actually find the HOTAS better for navigating the menus in ship and station screens, the two hats on the joystick make navigation extremely easy. It's only the galaxy map that can be annoying if your using text entry. Otherwise you seldom have to take your hands off the stick and throttle with hotas. Especially if you have head tracking.

As a RL pilot and avid flight simmer, i look at a HOTAS as a tool. and like all tools that i own i make sure that i buy one that not only does the job, but one that will last for a number of years in a situation where i will use it and use it hard.

CH makes a 3 piece flight setup that just can not be beat, not even by something like a Warthog (which MAY be just as good, but not better) .

A good HOTAS, when properly setup will become a extension of yourself. maneuvers will become second nature and intuitive. i dont even think about how i'm going to do something, i "See" what i want to happen and unless i have made a gross mistake... thats exactly what does happen. ( yes i have and still occasionally make mistakes)

dont be afraid to spend a bit of cash on a quality setup, it is after all a tool and a investment.

I own a joystick but for me it is Mouse + keyboard all the way. I find it easier and more practical. Of course a joystick is more immersive for any flight game.

I haven't seen a decent left-handed HOTAS that has enough buttons that I can ignore the keyboard and mouse (I have 1 usable hand)

This game becomes a different experience with a stick. I feel using k&m is like eating soup with a fork.
I had an old X52 but bought the X55 a few weeks ago. It is superb.

I have heard several left handed people declare that getting used to a right handed HOTAS takes only a few hours.
Real life pilots say the same.
