Docking Computer in 3.0.3

Has anyone noticed trouble with the docking computer since the update? Twice I've heard a ghastly scraping sound as my Anaconda has gone through the toastrack and loss of speed. Not every time; I can't reproduce the effect at will and the ship wasn't quite brought to a standstill, but I'm nervous about going to get a drink now.

I use the DC a lot - and whenever my Beluga goes through the slot I hear a "Bang" like it hit going through.

That said, I don't see any blip on my shields, nor have I found anything in the external cam?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Good for you. Do you want a cookie?

I'm just telling you it isn't designed to be used as an Auto-Pilot, so any screwups it might cause down the road, including the loss of a ship is your choice.

If Coloratura gets a cookie then I get a cookie.

Otherwise, NO FAIR!!!

Hmm now that you mention it, I keep hearing this sound like I hit someone when autodocking in my ASP explorer, and then I check and there's nobody around. I just assumed it's my ship creaking and maybe I *somehow* didn't notice it before... No damage tho...

I'm massively lazy and trigger autodock as soon as I'm within 7.5Km (or the time it gets to set the speed) and haven't had problems.

Problems start when you trigger it while too close to the slot.

Yes.

And I'm just telling you I've used it hundreds of times, without issue and on everything from a Sidey to a Corvette, from the side, the top, the bottom, the back, and diagonally, away from the entrance, and I haven't had one jot of trouble.

Where's my cookie?
