Newcomer / Intro Documentation

This is really the mandatory second post (kinda stupid IMHO, Star Citizen forums are much easier to use and search) BUT while I'm at it, this game is sorely in need of formal documentation. Been following this game for a year, expecting that there would finally be a decent manual (I know about the Sidewinder thingy) upon release. Got on this morning hoping to have something to spend the day reading before I downloaded the game tomorrow, but nada...

I know in this video-based day and time, reading is passe, and I have watched many tutorial vids, but a formal manual would be much more professional.

Just my $.02

One of the last posts of the Gamma forums was Mike Evans: to summarize, no point in having a manual when things are in flux.
"We're making a manual. Doesn't make sense to release a manual when things are still very much subject to change. With the release a lot of mechanics are going to be pretty much set in stone for the most part so committing them to paper so to speak is finally okay."

Hopefully, they did the enlightened thing and wrote sections as features stabilized.

I personally find the Star Citizen forum more difficult, for a start I never get emails for threads I'm subscribed to... just shows there is no pleasing everyone. This forum works like the vast majority of forums I'm used to, SC's doesn't.
