So I made a post on the improvement forum about the current mechanics for grinding material.
I also wanted to post here and see who enjoys the current methods of getting all the material for engineering?
I for one do not, the rinse and repeat and log off and on methods give me absolutely no enjoyment and are unfortunately a requirement if you want your ship to perform well.
I understand content needs to be behind some form of barrier to encourage playing the game but to me flying around a specific system and picking through wreckage or driving around a colony and logging dozens of times is both frustrating and insulting. There are ways to make the grind more seamless and enjoyable, god forbid we got to enjoy the game whilst aiming towards end game content right?
Doing runs over and over on Dav's Hope? Than i know why you don't enjoy it!
The only real mat i hate are core dynamic composites because i need lots of them and they are the most rare manufactured mat at all.
The others are easy to get. Have shot a pirate during trading? Pick the mats! Are you bountyhunting in a Res? Take a collector limpet with you! Made a ground base assault or scan mission in the last time? Take 10 minutes more and collect some stuff on the ground!
All those mats are flooding on their own into my storage. I don't even need to look if i have enough mats when i wanna do 2-3 grade 5 blueprints. I start to look what i'm missing when i'd like to engineer a whole ship.
Usually i'm just missing than core dynamic composites because A) i usually don't visit federal systems and B) i usually find 1 CDC and dozens of compact composites in the HGE signals.
